Great offer... I will be in 23 but down south with my daughter so unfortunately we won't make it up on the rim for the camp.

Rino radios are basically the same as the mot or mid's. They won't usually work canyon to canyon type of landscape. They are awesomme but have their limitations and are not ham type readios.

That thing looks like a big fat farm bear! I thought the first picture was a joke that thing is so fat. It also has really long fur which would make for a great big fat old bear rug. As was said already that thing is going to be awesome eating as well!

Looks like a good deer to me! It really depends on if you know there are bigger deer in the area that you have seen recently. Can you keep an eye out for him while you look for others in the area? If he is in a high traffic area and you don't have option B I would be tickled to put together a plan and fill a tag with him it were me. Actually for me the putting a plan together and being successful is more gratifying than getting hung up on only wall hangers. Even better when you set it all up for a kid or buddy.

Great looking bull!

This one is CF but a big sucker and stable as can be for video. Amanda used to have a similar one in the store. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L1F86CM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage Put a Manfrotto head on and you will be into it for less than $500 which is really cheap for video work, and have a very good set up. I spent months researching and reading recommendations on here and ended up going with this. I have a Bogen and 4 other smaller tripods so I have real world comparisons. The only thing it is missing is the flip lock legs as you pointed out which I prefer also.

That last one is a beauty!

Leupold Golden Ring Spotting Scope, binos, and outdoorsman adapter
rcdinaz replied to a topic in Optics and tripods
Good stuff! someone should buy these in a hurry. I have the small 8x gold rings. It is too bad they quit making them they went head to head with Swaro and Leica on almost all the tests and did just as well. -
Green Bullet, take a look at these threads there is a ton of info from members on the same topic. Great info! http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/57336-i-want-to-reload-i-need-advice/?hl=reloading&do=findComment&comment=554627 http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/32414-reloading/?hl=reloading&do=findComment&comment=306414

I had basically the exact same load Craig is working with and it worked really well. But continuous tinkering has me shooting this one now. Ramshot Magnum 70gr Nosler LRAB Nosler brass Ball powder sure does make loading easier and a little quicker. Also do yourself a favor if you still have to buy brass and buy the Nosler stuff. You will get already prepped brass (flash hole, trim, mouth) that is really great stuff.

Defense was HUGE!

That should work just fine. I have the same scope in SFP and have shot it out to +1,000yds you should be good.

Well I guess this thread is done! -
I have one FFP Leupold ER/T and really like the scope. But in reality I have had 5 hunters shoot critters with that set up and all were dialed in with the turrets so the wiz-bang horus reticle has never gotten a real workout at any magnification. All my other scopes are SFP and are no issue. My next big challenge is to go between MIL & MOA. I want to add an MOA scope to my daughters rifle because it is more intuitive and quicker to learn than MIL.
-
Good video! we posted the same time or I wouldn't have bothered.
-
If you plan on always dialing the turrets FFP is not a big issue. FFP remains zeroed if you are shooting primarily off of the reticle MIL/MOA marks. The reticle will get larger as the power goes up due to the reticle location in the scope being forward of the lens magnification. SFP or second focal plane the reticle is fixed due to it being behind the magnification.

Time for a new tuck Diesel or Gas
rcdinaz replied to AZBUCKEYE's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
 I still have the '05 Avy with the 6" lift, 35's, crappy 5.3L, rack and tire on the top, what a pig, I get 10mpg... uphill, downhill, slow, fast (mostly slow) okay maybe it is 8-11 but does it really matter when it is that bad. Stupid Chevy, my car has a bigger engine and weighs half as much. I would love to buy a diesel and for the next truck sorry to say , it will probably be a Ford whether gas or diesel. Slight chance on a Tundra or a GMC. My wife has a Sequoia and it is a great rig so I have looked at the Tundra. Really, I want the diesel whether I can justify it or not torque, torque, and yes more torque! -
Kuiu and it is crazy good! most of the pricey stuff is very good. However the cheap stuff you wad up in a ball for short term use works really well also other than it doesn't breath much and can be noisy. Take you rain suede wash it really good, make sure it is very, very dry, and spray the piss out of it with rainguard, nikwax, campdry, etc. It will probably be good as new. You can get really crazy and use NeverWet, someone had a video of it on here and it will waterproof a cotton t-shirt.

Frankly you can do this at home in less than an hour. dozens of YouTube videos on how to do this. You can go through the firewall or lift the carpet and find a drain plug. There are a bunch of videos . Also on the Silverado.com forum there is a tutorial done on '07 and up models. I would give the links but they will not paste into the forum for some reason... You can also probably run it to your fuse box with an inline fuse and not even mess with the firewall. Hook it into the power for the radio and it will come on and off with your ignition. Labor at a stereo shop is still going to be a minimum of $50 per hour.

I like the idea too!!! some of these threads sound like a chat line with a bunch of teenage girls... if its politics or a general topic inviting a bitch session I get it but come on gentlemen we are all supposed to be like minded residents of a forum. I cringe thinking new hunters or people moving to AZ get on a few of these and think this is normal. Remember it is just text and emotions don't translate well so a good rule is to try to not have them. Don't get offended just choose to ignore the idiots like a well adjusted adult... except Lark, who for reasons unknown to me, everyone has decided that the proper protocol is that we can be offended from the get go. -
Not a boar, not a Blesbok, not a buffalo, not an M16 almost definitely not an automatic which the author assumed so he could make the article a little more scary! Wow this just seems to be random fear mongering not real big on facts.
