Can you purchase over the phone? I don't know the process other than the old days when you had to camp out.

I have both and they have different advantages. Twist type make no noises and won't get caught on anything, but they often slip after wear or if you don't tighten them down. Lever locks can be in the way but they are more reliable and probably faster. I don't think it is a defining feature for me I eventually complain about either one for the reasons given.

I use a Benro carbon fiber and a Jim White head. The head was more than the tripod, all together way less than $700. You can't get much lighter than a CF tripod and a Jim White head. I don't have any trouble with the wind and binos but for the spotter I still use the monfotto tank of a tripod I have had for ever. If you want a spotter to stay still you will have to go heavy and stay away from CF which transmits all the vibrations.

Try a medium diving sexy shad! My dad caught a cat on one, actually he seems to catch a cat on a crank bait about every other time we head out no matter which lake. I can tell you the lake is full of catfish (and carp). We usually bow fish pleasant and sometimes there are so many catfish I can't believe it. Try to find the big shallow flats and fish them right before they drop off, probably something you know already but we always seem to see a couple cruising in those areas at night.

SW did my rug and it turned out awesome! I have seen a few full mounts he did and all of them were both creative and impressive.

Well done!

I drew a sheep tag 10 years ago with 7 so $!@* happens. That being said you guys are making my 16 goat points seem pretty depressing.

Not everyone can afford one!

This is very good! Add up the components and it will be hard to beat unless you consider #1 or #2 a big change. If I hadn't just paid for two Mexico hunts this is exactly what I would be buying for my next critter-gitter! Good luck with the sale!

I never even caught the tongue it doesn't really stand out. The background pic does stand out, in the first and last pic the scenery almost looks fake. My guess would be 1 and 5 were taken with much better cameras. All awesome deer!

I think they are all pretty good. I have more Kuiu than anything and love their pants, rain gear, and jackets. Take a look at Core4 as well it has been very good and I got it on Camofire for 40%-50% off which makes it the best clothing investment i have made.

Stiff denim or saddle cloth... You will be sweating a lot though!

I have Dish and me wife is out of her mind without Fox in the mornings. Had Cox in the past and Dish has the best equipment with the Joey system (Slingbox) and I only really watch recorded shows or sports. I am really considering slowly unplugging now that I have Roku, Google Chrome, and Apple TV. Heck the kids live on Netflix and Amazon so they don't even need the cable. I just gotta get the wife unhooked. All of the cable guys are priced really high considering 80% of the channels are a complete waste and the good ones all cost extra. Their world is going to change pretty fast over the next 5 years IMHO.

Shooters App. How many use it and thoughts?
rcdinaz replied to SO I HUNT's topic in Long Range Shooting
I use it and thin kit is one of the best. -
I googled quad sticks and there seem to be a lot of designs and guys making them in Europe. Looks simple enough for a weekend project. Might be a great item to have with young hunters who have trouble holding up or balancing a heavy rifle. http://www.coriniumrange.com/venison/ A YouTube on making your own. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8L2Kgmvs_PY Entertaining to watch him try to cut off a finger with a hack saw!

Yeah that was my last one as well... In the past it was always the clean each time for first 5, then 5 shots, etc... I used to clean the living day lights out of all of them now I mess with them as little as poissible. None of the critters have complained.. not a word.

Great write-up! I was half expecting a bunch of rules and tactics like most articles but this is just short and right to the point no magic formula. "Coyotes present" & "confidence" what a concept! This should be a sticky and say "read first" for varmint hunting.

I am sure that this is the Lock-EZE mentioned. http://www.amazon.com/Lock-Ease-Graphite-Lock-Fluid-3-4/dp/B0006MWPZA If you look at the list of frequently bought together on Amazon products all of those mentioned in the article are on the list which tells me people are buying everything from your list via Amazon. Lock-ease, sweets, Iosso Personally I don't do all of this anymore. I have heard a lot of guys who almost never clean and have excellent shooting rifles especially in the AR world. Last barrel I paid a little more for a match barrel and called it good. Consider the article below from McMillan rifles. http://www.6mmbr.com/GailMcMbreakin.html

Amanda or anyone who uses this device, I was looking at a Sat Phone or the inReach you discussed in one of your posts. Can you tell me if you have tried it on your trips to Mexico? I have a hunt this month with Temo and I am taking my father this time. I would like to give my wife and mom an update a couple of times a day that everything is ok or let them see our location on their laptops. Any tricks or tips to setting everything up correctly? Amanda, your PM's are full, I am sure you are busy over the Holidays.

I was stuck in this mess today as well coming home from pinetop. Probably caused about a 1.5 hour delay.

Swarovski EL 12x50 Swarovision and SLC 15X56 WB
rcdinaz replied to out4blood's topic in Optics and tripods
I have both as well as 10's and use the 12's for everything. My dad uses the 15's now and my daughter the 10's. -
Good info. 308 nut! I had the barrel set to run the 140's so it is not terribly long to get to the lands. I just started with the new set up before hunting season and ran out of time this year to get things situated. I guess I need to solve the load issue first and then see about the magazine and any modification. I also only run H1000 for those first loads and had some good results. I can say that the HSM factory loads just gave me fits trying to chase group size and zeroing the rifle. Those things may as well be a mile from the lands. Thanks!

I have another 6.5 question for you all. With the SA Rem are you just using it as a single shot? What other options are there, extended box from Wyatt's or similar? The SA has a pretty small ejection port also for thelong VLD 140 rounds.
