Yeah that was my last one as well... In the past it was always the clean each time for first 5, then 5 shots, etc... I used to clean the living day lights out of all of them now I mess with them as little as poissible. None of the critters have complained.. not a word.

Great write-up! I was half expecting a bunch of rules and tactics like most articles but this is just short and right to the point no magic formula. "Coyotes present" & "confidence" what a concept! This should be a sticky and say "read first" for varmint hunting.

I am sure that this is the Lock-EZE mentioned. http://www.amazon.com/Lock-Ease-Graphite-Lock-Fluid-3-4/dp/B0006MWPZA If you look at the list of frequently bought together on Amazon products all of those mentioned in the article are on the list which tells me people are buying everything from your list via Amazon. Lock-ease, sweets, Iosso Personally I don't do all of this anymore. I have heard a lot of guys who almost never clean and have excellent shooting rifles especially in the AR world. Last barrel I paid a little more for a match barrel and called it good. Consider the article below from McMillan rifles. http://www.6mmbr.com/GailMcMbreakin.html

Amanda or anyone who uses this device, I was looking at a Sat Phone or the inReach you discussed in one of your posts. Can you tell me if you have tried it on your trips to Mexico? I have a hunt this month with Temo and I am taking my father this time. I would like to give my wife and mom an update a couple of times a day that everything is ok or let them see our location on their laptops. Any tricks or tips to setting everything up correctly? Amanda, your PM's are full, I am sure you are busy over the Holidays.

I was stuck in this mess today as well coming home from pinetop. Probably caused about a 1.5 hour delay.

Awesome bull! Great guide, Josh has mad glassing skills for finding critters. Keep up the good work! -
Awesome! I wish I had the space for a couple.

Swarovski EL 12x50 Swarovision and SLC 15X56 WB

I have both as well as 10's and use the 12's for everything. My dad uses the 15's now and my daughter the 10's. -
Yep! Did this last year on the deer my buddy shot in Mex... it looked big due to the proportions and it was very grey unlike most of the other deer we saw. It eeked out 101-102" because of a few extra inches in kickkers but was probably 98" without them, I really thought it was 110ish or better.

I would love to do this! What month do you all plan on booking the hunt? How many days?

I have only shot at Ben Avery,PHX R&G, and Rio Salado which are both useful for working on new loads, setting up a new scope, or other short range work. I have my own steel and equipment so I end up shooting long range on my own. A range where you could shoot long range would be awesome! I also have to say that Rio Salado (I was a member) is a horrible place to go and take new shooters or young shooters. A couple of those guys have huge chips on their shoulders and look for every opportunity to wield their power and yell or belittle the people who show up. I know it is a safety issue but I have been shooting all of my life, have thick skin, and don't intimidate easily, and they have made me uncomfortable when they are dressing down a guy walking in or a someone next to me. Seems I have a story about every other time I head out there. One last thing... How hard is it to have rifle shooters on one side and hand guns or semi-autos on the other. Again Rio used to be good at this a long time ago but now I am almost guaranteed to have a guy throwing pistol or AR cases at me the entire time I am shooting. Sorry to vent but those are the things that make my range time less enjoyable and are probably pretty easy to fix.

That sucks! Haven't done that since I was a kid and hope not to for as long as I can help it.

I am at a loss... The bottom looks similar to the standard tripod head. May need the panning attachment. Maybe Amanda will take a look and chime in.

That hole right there in the front on your picture, it has that little cut across it. Unless I am looking at this all wrong? Isn't this the one you have: http://store.coueswhitetail.com/ball-tripod-head-with-handle/

how hard would it be to get a suppressor?
rcdinaz replied to muledeerhntr's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Call Mr. Silencer he is in AZ and very easy to deal with. The stamps really depend mine took forever last year because so many people were in a hurry to get them. -
That is the tripod head with the handle missing which Amanda had in stock. Of course you have to mount it to the tripod via the screw on the top, you may have to remove the outside threaded portion, there are two common sizes for the threads.

Looks like a great competition.

I would start with Vortex and give them a call and ask them about your options. I am sure you are not the first to ask this question.

Nope! Just didn't have time this year with travel for work. This is brilliant though! My plan for next year.

I hate to jump on someone else's post but i am curious what the best way is to learn how to care for the hides. I haven't doe much varmint calling in the last few years but have a few spot up on the rim where I have had a good number of Bobcats on camera and a badger den that was dug fresh this year. Weeding through the junk on you tube is a challenge so any advice would be welcome.

I always dial for both but if possible would rather set up to limit the impact from the wind since it is often not consistent. I like the idea of the custom turret and a lot of people use them but I have yet to put one on my rifle. You probably don't need a turret for wind if you print out a small chart and tape it to your rifle stock for reference. I personally never even thought about a turret for windage. I would order the tape version before getting a laser etched one. If you havent already learned to use the "shooter" app or similar I would spend my time there before getting a turret. Just learning the app teaches you an awful lot and it is very simple to use in the filed for any and all conditions IMHO.

Chapstick, bandaids, eye drops, extra set of contacts or glasses.

Ernesto I hope you get well soon! We will be praying for you. God bless!

I want to try Crispi as well. I have had the same issues as you but the European boots tend to run a little narrower so the heel usually fits better. Go check the sale section on their page for some pretty good discounts. I have worn Zamberlan and Asolo. So far the Asolo just plain fit better than anything else I have tried.

He should have done it earlier. Agreed! Kelly sucked it looked like he was hurt or just not in the game. I think he did not want to miss his last game and tried to play and might should have not been out there. No excuses they got beat and the defense that played so great most of the year got burned over and over. Championship game should be a good one!
