Call Marty at twisted barrel, he can add your choice of a dozen or more fluting options to any barrel mfg you decide on. He is out of Wyoming i believe. I have two of the Brux interrupted from Brux and they shoot great. On the last build I wanted something different so he did an interrupted twist fluting on a hart barrel. It turned out awesome, also fluted the bolt and lightened, No pics up yet still deciding what to do with the stock.

I am sure the Mesa one will give you the same deal if they are closer. -
Very nice! Will make a great rug!

Saw and Drill Press are still for sale, along with the Yakima Rack in the pics, comes with Ski & Bike mounts. Let me know if someone wants this before I throw it on Craig's List later this week.

Pack & truck tires sold Have held the price on the press and saw since a few of you guys were interested. I will let you know if I still have them tomorrow.

Oh, I forgot the second tire. It is a set of 4 off of my avalanche that were in storage the last 6 years. Trail Grapplers, one has a cut in it, MB Motoring wheels. One wheel had some of the chrome etched off, I was going to black them out for a buddy and we never got around to it. Also one cap is missing from the set but these are Discount tire model wheels so it should be easy to replace them. $90 for all four.

Now, Now don't get teste over the poor squirrel!

I cant imagine which caliber has killed more of them than the .223... especially now with everyone using the AR platform. Maybe in todays world with better rifles and optics extending ranges by a long way the 22's may be on the light side but if you are shooting them at 300 and in I cant imagine needing more. When I was doing a lot of calling I used a 22-250 and a .243. That 22-250 with NBT's would hammer a coyote dead on the spot out to 400 yds as long as I put one in the boiler no problem. There is only one level of dead so I never went looking for a more deader cartridge to shoot.

buy a good down bag. Very warm, packs down to nothing, and very light, just pick a brand that fits you and your set.

Awesome bow! These things always come up right after I buy something else. -
I don't think Kauai is much better. They do have some of the best zipline tours around, go on one of them and you will have a blast. At the end of ours they took us to a big water hole with a zip line swing and a diving platform and everyone loved it. I also would really check out the bass fishing in the streams. Everyone goes to the ocean, another beach but the jungle is a lot more interesting in my opinion and the jungle there is very safe, no snakes, no biting critters, and not a lot of bugs. The zipline guide told me the hikes and views in some of the places he bass fishes are amazing.

Things your huntin buddies do that drive you nuts : )
rcdinaz replied to twigsnapper's topic in The Campfire
I have one of those too. It's incredible. As far as annoyances... sunglasses on a predator stand. Two in my camp and either one is snoring so loud it measures on the richter scale or they are having a contest to see who can drown out any pesky background noise, you know things like thunder or a hurricane. Other small things that drive me nuts: He is right there... see him? By the tree! The green tree! the one with the big branch! We had a very serious argument one year about a yucca vs a century plant. Needless to say I had to print pictures and set them on his desk at work. We laughed like heck after that! Wandering off on your own hunt plan used to drive me nuts also but now I figure I might get lucky and use my search and rescue skills or all that crap I have learned from my wife's addiction to CSI. -
Wow great spot!

Good stuff! I voted hope you win!

Nice perk though!

That is a very cool gift! I will give you $100 cash for the putter! (look 'em up a tour putter by Piretti is around $1,000) No telling how much to get the all copper putter they designed for a pro. Same deal with Scotty Cameron custom shop.

Go to the game and fish hunting page and read the where to hunt info for the areas you are considering. There will be a section specifically on Javelina and where they can be located. As was said almost every hunt unit in the southern half of the state will have Javelina so pick an area and do a little homework. Some guys will help if you give an area and ask for info via PM on a general direction in and out of an area. Also, the G&F officer or biologist in that area will call you back most of the time if you call G&F and make a request. Just an FYI most people are not going to post their favorite spot on a site where 100's of other hunters will read about it.

I have had good days at all the lakes mentioned. Last really good outing with good sized fish was Carnero, great lake if you dont mind fishing in the weeds a lot. Reservation is probably the prettiest of them all but a bit of a haul. If you want to catch something different you can find Grayling at Lee Valley, neat little fish and with the mild winter may be some larger ones in there this year. You can also hit the Black River and catch some Apache Trout. Good Luck!

I would say Lone Wolf as well. I agree with above though after fiddling with tree stands for awhile. I am back to thinking a ladder stand if you can haul it and probably a ground blind otherwise. It is really tough to just stay put all day and watch critters move around out of reach.

The guys at BDM in Tempe are great. Ask for Mark, they also usually can't be beat on their prices.

I have a red and black web bell & Carlson with aluminum bedding block, detachable mag. Great stock but when I bought it I didn't realize I needed a long so I have to get something different,

Thanks coach! Like most of you on this forum I tend to get obsessed with new challenges! This is the reason I don't fly fish even with buddy's badgering me all the time. I keep telling them "you guys just want me to ge hooked because you know I will be tying flys and trying to build rods the first year into it". Of course my wife will probably make me sleep in the shed at that time. She let me takeover the garden room and a few closests for reloading and gear but I already got the yard sale or else mandate for this summer. By next weekend I may be able to get some stuff up on here for cheap due to the ultimatum.
