That is awesome! Congrats to you on such a rare find!

Wow! That's it next trip Rosey for an overnighter! I hit Pleasant again and saw plenty of fish but only shot one. Anyone know if there is any place to bowfish up in Show Low or Pinetop area? I will be up there for Memorial and would love to take the bow.

I cant believe this has not sold? If I hadn't just built a 6.5x284 I would be all over this.

Barebones rechargeable lantern! It also can be used to charge your cell-phone. This became the go to light onmy last coues trip for everyone in camp. It is not the most durable of all the ones out but from a utility standpoint it is the best I have used. I wont do "D" or "C" battery stuff anymore although I do have a "D" battery LED lamp as well but it is nothing like this lamp. http://www.amazon.com/Barebones-Forest-Light-Camp-Lantern/dp/B00C5VWW4Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1399592987&sr=8-1&keywords=barebones+lantern Camofire runs them for around $50 if you can catch one on their daily deals.

How does he have a TV show... how... how... how And who can stand to watch it? -
Borden makes a great action. I have one of their stocks as well. I like what I read about thatNWP action and that is a very good deal as well.

Once I can get both trailers in the same place I will try and set something up with you. Hopefully in the next few weeks.

I just read that it was only a couple of lakes on another site. Yes it is good I didn't shoot them!

I got one! Well I finally got a deck built and got out to Pleasant Thursday night. I saw a fair amount of fish moving out of the larger coves. I still have not figured out how deep you can go after them when you see school moving out of an area. I was just waiting to catch singles up in the shallow areas. I saw a few cats also but again didn't have the confidence to shoot deeper. This is very addicting so I will be making a few changes to the deck and eventually try and have one made of aluminium. I am going to add a few lights to the back also so I can put my dad back there to chase the bass. I saw plenty of bass on my last two outings and some real toads cruising around at night. Sorry no pics, now that I have hit one I will be ready next trip. Thanks for the advice bowfishAZ!

I saw these pics and thought those birds could never choke down those crappie and then... I was at Saguaro Lake two weeks ago and saw on eat a small duck right next to the dock. I did not have a camera but did watch him carry it around by the neck with its feet flopping around. The duck was about half grown, so he size of a full grown Teal at least. Those things are amazingly tough and aggressive!

If DCS changes his mind let me know and I will take the rain gear. Thanks!

Reload virgin. Question on 270 load
rcdinaz replied to apache12's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Buy carlock's reloading for long range DVD it is worth every dime. There is a ton of stuff on the web as well. For a 270 recipe pick a bullet you want to try and then get the mfg recommendations for reloads. If you like the SST start with that and look up the Hornady reloading info. -
What draw length? How much you looking for?

What is your favorite bow brand? - archery market research

I have an Athens right now and really like it. Also, a PSE bowfishing rig. -
I had the same question what does it cost to do the bearings on a single axle?

I may try and make a run out to Rosey tomorrow evening. Any preference on which end of the lake to hit? Thinking I might try and be out there by 5 or 6 and see how things go for 3-4 hours. I got lights to rig up temporarily and will just stand on a big ice chest for my trial run.

Wow! great deal! I am almost finished with a build on a similar gun. Surely this will get snapped up it is almost like getting a free scope with to go with a great rifle.

You might also consider a trip to Lee's Ferry and rent a boat. We just got back and it was awesome. The help I got from all the members here was excellent and really helped us get started right of the bat the very first day catching fish. The scenery also makes it a pretty special destination.

For smallies any of the entrances from the San Carlos side will be good. Grab a map and head towards Point of Pines. You will want to go to the west side, Ten of Diamonds and Malay were great for both trout and smallies but even last year fishing was not very good. CP covered most of the baits. Rebel Craw, Rapala's, Slash baits, small white or black jigs (Yum or Power Bait can be fish magnets), also worms. You may only want to do lures but a box of nightcrawlers can make a bad day a good day. Good luck and watch out for the bears! (seriously watch out for bears, they are everywhere along the river)

okay thanks for the advice! may have to run out to Rosey...

okay thanks! I am going to try and work in something temporary this week. Are Saguaro or Canyon any good? They are a closer since I am in the east valley.

Fantastic! Obviously you are doing a great job with them! Keep up the good work we all know it ain't easy.
