rcdinaz replied to reganranch's topic in Classified Ads
I will take it but I am out of town this week. Will call you tomorrow. -
Some nice heavy hitters there! Good luck with your sale! If I hadn't spent like crazy getting ready for this weeks hunt I would really have to think about the 460.
-
Same here the 125. Might buy a small one as well. For my uhhh soda pop....
-
Ernesto you should have said you were in town! I would have bought you and Tony a cerveza. Let me know when you come back for the new rifle.

Can anyone lend a hand mounting a scope the proper way???
rcdinaz replied to Adicted's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I use the wheeler kit as well. However, you can buy one small cheap level from the hardware store and do this. Step one draw a VERY straight level line on a piece of cardboard. Hang it so the line is level horizontally. Now take you rifle and set it up aimed at the target and use the level on the receiver or top of rings if they are flat and make sure your rifle is level. This is horizontal, right to left level. Now match the reticle to the line on he paper. Torque the screws half way alternating screw until they are all snug then alternate again until they are tight. Not beast mode it will never move kind of tight just tight enough that you put a small amount of force on them. Now you have a level scope... If you want to check the torque go to an auto store and ask to borrow a torque wrench. Do a search for your rings and correct foot pounds. For the base you can use lock tite but make sure you buy the lightest hold one, certainly not the permanent type. I would give colors but there are multiple brands so read the bottle. -
This! ☝️ I have tried craigslist & eBay also without much luck this year. I am the same way. I have an enormous need to fell like I saved something. We need a group buy on canyon coolers... 20% off and I am in!

Yep u might want to stick with that one! Of course you may have a new gun that will shoot most loads very well. Congrats!

They should both have forest maps. Most of them have the GMU outlined. Another option is to download and print them yourself from a map service like Trimble. You can even by the map paper at Walmart or cabelas. Cabelas online maps are now the Trimble map and apps. Other option is to drive to world of maps and pay thm to print exactly what you want.

Exactly! I use my spotter the same way. It is also invaluable for 1,000yd type shooting, at least until the temp and mirage screw things up.

Getting a stick w an aluminum bedding block, probably will be good to go if you don't want to mess with pillar bedding. Barrel will also be floating if you by the stock for your specific rifle.
-
If i picked one it would be my 15x56's. I have the big Swarovski HD so it is not a matter of quality either, eye fatigue and comfort are the main reasons.

Only way I know that you can buy and then walk out with it is to have your CCW permit. Since you are on file already you get to leave with your new gun. Although I did not think there was a 3 day wait on rifles, thought it was only handguns. Call BP and ask them what their process/policy is and make sure they have the rifle before you make the trip.

Awesome! I think that deer gets 2 scores for having 2 sets of antlers. How many others could claim that! I gotta get a tag for San Carlos one year...
-
Tru-fire one of the higher end ones but looking at the Scott's though....

Email Berger they will send you the info the same day. Great service!

Happy Birthday Bill!

Very nice!

RCD I have an Avalanche and the 6" was perfect and completely changed the truck for the better. BDM Customs in Tempe will probably be the best deal you can find anywhere.
-
Borrow some and save. For an inexpensive pair most people would lone them to you, you can always return the favor. For $200 you could rent some from Ross Outdoor as well. Or find a used pair to really stretch your $.

7mm Mag Loads. Updated with hunt story!
rcdinaz replied to outdoor rush's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I may try that and see next summer. Same load I run the berger so it is just a change in bullets. DesertBull & iz, what primers are you guys using? I switched from fed to CCI in my magnums. -

Okay 69.5g with the 168's. One of the best shooting loads of all my rifles.
