50% Off Everything on Badlands Website

I really like their stuff bought a few more items. They make a women’s sized backpack if anyone needs one the price is right. My daughter is small, hoping this one will actually tighten up correctly.

    Big Eyes/ Twin Spotters

Good feedback on the Vortex. Still considering the Kowa’s. I think you could build them for around $2K maybe a little more. Depends on whose bracket some are big $. I am talking about getting a steal on a couple of used spotters of course.

    Any outdoorsmans heads for sale?

Maybe a dumb question, what is RCM?

    Big Eyes/ Twin Spotters

What about the little Vortex Razor? only 33x50 abut the same weight as the a pair of swaro 15's and you could probably build them for less than $1,500 (used). FOV would probably be pretty tight. I have a Swaro HD 80 but it is mostly used for looking at antlers after finding critters with my EL's. The smaller Big Eyes seem like they would be very usable from the truck or scouting, maybe even shorter hikes.

I want to see this done with the 554. Probably make me sell my swaro...

    Youth backpacks, any suggestions????

Mine use the Eberlestock X1's for the last few years. My oldest daughter used a smaller 2000 ci Bdlands this year and carried a rifle a a bit of gear and really liked it . All that being said my other daughter has a really small frame so we will be buying the new Badlands Kali soon. New model made for women, hoping this one can be tightened up for her correctly. If they are really small then go to REI and find a backpacking pack that fits. My 9 year old has this as nothing in the hunting world will work and we tried dozens none were close.

    Unpacking

Yes, hate it! This is one silly reason I continually think about buying a travel trailer instead of renting them. I could leave 3/4 of my stuff in place and could avoid that rush to unload once I get home. I do realize I should just be grateful I have stuff and get to hunt but unpacking and losing stuff is a big downer. 🙁

    Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

5-6 years of being complete MMA and Krav Maga obsessed. like 5-6 days a week 2-3 hours per day obsessed and lifting at lunch time. I wrestled through high school but like Edge commented I liked stand up a lot more the last couple of years. But they just opened a bjj center near my house I want to check out. Problem is I travel so much I usually can’t even get through my lifting rotation in a given week so we will see if I can figure something out.

    South of the Boarder Violence

Mexico definitely has a problem! However, I think if we reported Chicago, St Louis, Baltimore, and a few others every month there are some really bad cities here at home. I try to stay away from these areas in genera. I will be going to Mexico for business in a few weeks, I have never had any problems in Guadalajara. I also never go anywhere on my own and stick to the offices, hotels, and restaurants that we know.

Looking for suggestions for a fun rental car

Corolla pay the extra insurance and drive the wheels off that sucker! 🤣 The vette over the Ghibli every day.
  13. Agree, hunt enough and something is bound to not work out. I remember when the Nosler BT was the bullet and the issue was poor penetration, so they came out with the Accubond. VLD is the popular go to now, % of failures is probably the same. We have been fortunate but the largest muley anyone has shot in my family got up and walked off and on to the res. When my daughter shot it was like a truck hit it and it did not get up until we packed up and got ready to cross the wash. It happens.

Awesome! great trophy, I would never pass on such a unique bull.

    Realistic Field Shooting

Great ideas! 3 & 4 are huge nothing like a live target. I would add going on a prairie dog shoot, repetition, not a fixed distance, and they move around.
  16. The new plunger should work for all of the VLD type bullets, that is what they are designed for so any Berger, Nosler, custom VLD bullets all of them apply. 👍
  17. yes, you need a seating stem designed for the longer bullets.

    Euro with velvet

😂 It looks just as weird from the back, has 15 points some stick straight out the back. I had to get a mount that held it far enough from the wall to hang it.

😳😳😳 Outstanding! My theory is the deer in 13B are a prehistoric strain. Dinosaur Deer!

    Realistic Field Shooting

I have missed 2 big coues in the last 10 years both in Mexico, darn things ended up inside of 50 yards so I rushed it and missed them both. For the long range stuff I have not missed in a quite awhile. No bragging it is easy to practice far and tough to practice close, fast, and maxed out on adrenaline with a big fat scope. For what it is worth I have shot almost everything from a sitting position. The trips Mexico taught us petty quick that prone rarely works due to high grass and scrub brush everywhere. Sitting seems to be quicker and easier to deal with any incline as well, at least in my experience.
