Now don't be bashing softball! But now that he brought it up, can you say dyanasty? UCLA (BLAH) and UofA together hold more softball championships together than all other teams combined. And by the way, I was rooting on ASU the other year they won the championship. ScumDevil: you need to get a life.

Getting off the bus, I saw this muey macho Red Truck (large offroad tires and really loud exhast system) going north on La Canada just north of Magee on 3-22-12 at about 6:30 pm. I thought to myself that it was a good road hunting truck!

I'm not so sure that Del is that out of line, albeit maybe not tactful. In Tucson and in Phoenix, I do believe it is illegal to feed wildlife. I know that on Saguaro East, G&F did a scat survey on coyotes and 80% was dog food. When javelina and coyotes become acclimated to humans from feeding, they become dangerous, not to mention that the higher concentration of prey can bring in the mountain lions. The title on your post indicated these javelina were being fed dog food, which really isn't a good idea. I did a search on the G&F website and found: Q: Should I feed wildlife? A: Wildlife encounters around your home can be enjoyable, but at times may be cause for concern. Many Arizona residents feed wildlife, including birds, because we want to see them around our homes. When done properly, feeding can be the source of much interest and enjoyment. Keep in mind that feeding small wild animals can have unintended consequences, such as attracting rodents or larger predators. There are also certain animals that should never be fed because they can become a nuisance or even a threat to human safety, such as bears, coyotes and javelina. These animals, when fed, become comfortable with humans and may become aggressive. If this happens, the animal must be removed at great expense and with dire consequences for the animal. Aggressive animals are often either killed or relocated, and relocation results in very low survival rates. In fact, you can often do these animals a favor by going out of your way to make them uncomfortable. If they keep their natural fear of people, they are less likely to become a nuisance and more likely to live a longer life. In 2006, the Arizona Legislature passed a “no feeding wildlife” law, making it illegal to feed wildlife (except birds and tree squirrels) in Pima and Maricopa counties. Tree squirrels are generally those found in the mountains, such as Abert’s and Arizona tree squirrels. Squirrels in the low deserts of Phoenix and Tucson are generally ground squirrels, including Harris’ antelope squirrels, round-tailed ground squirrels and rock squirrels. If wildlife feeding in your neighborhood is causing large animals to become bold, please contact your local Game and Fish office.

You don't even get to see a buck down at the Desert Museum here in Tucson or a gobbler. Must be some kind of gender issue!

So did anybody ever claim the arrows?

Most of the interpretation of laws is under "what a reasonable person would interpret the law to be" at least in all the cases I've been involved in. Just my 1/2 cent worth. In my experience the interpretation of laws is pretty much up to the officer that has his ticket book out ... G&F have been very consistent with "NO" on this interpretation of only 1 permit-tag except if there are multiple draws. As I mentioned on some of the other outdoor sites: it is a good time to move on getting this changed -- the commission is welcoming lots of new rules right now.

2011 AZ Sheep Results are Final here are the numbers!
Big Tub replied to Koury Guide Service's topic in Koury Guide Service
Is that Mark Bool the same one that had the desert sheep several years ago? If so, I used to work with him. Who is he paying off? 22 points and counting. I also see Stu Handcock on there. Congrats to him. Sure are lots of stories represented here that I would like to hear. And speaking of stories: 28 and 20 days of hunting in 12/13 with no harvest, there has to be some stories there! -
We have 2 of the 2000's. They are awesome, quiet, and reliable. I doubt you will find them used. I bought mine used from a guy selling a trailer my bro-in-law bought. I didn't save all that much. I found out afterwards that I could get them at the local Honda shop (Musselman's) just as cheap as the internet. But I got all kinds of instruction there: Like don't leave the gas in it and how to start it. If you don't need the quiet or light weight, that deal above is a smoking deal! I like the 2000's because you can lift them without breaking your back.

I hear they don't quite know what to do if you chase them. Get the video camera out and see if you can swat one on the rump?
