The 50 amp is good for future versatility. However, have him hook it up as a 30 amp so you have the protection of the lower amperage breaker. Or better yet, have him install 1 of each and a 110V- 15A GFIC for hooking up heat tape on your water inlet. Scope creep has always been a problem for me.

I finally made it over there in the middle of the week, during mid-day. Hardly anyone was there. That traffic circle going in really needs to be rethought. Nice facility with lots of stuff. They still have the treats/snacks counter with all the fudge AND YES I RESISTED. I am more into the phase of life into downsizing rather than accumulating but it was fun to see the fish tank and all the schtuff. A/C was on HIGH and it actually felt good to go out into the heat. I was reminded of my first experience with BassPro circa 1990 in Grapevine, Tx. There was a tornado warning and the A/C was stuck on high -- the associates were all wearing the heavy winter coats off the racks. We all spent hours there just looking at all the stuff. This week, there were no lines anywhere and it a delight.

Usually, an RV hookup is 30 amp, 110 volt for the smaller trailers and 50 amp for large trailers. I'm confused about 35 amp. From a 30 amp breaker, you will run the 3 wires out the bottom of the panel to a box with the RV 30 amp socket receptacle and within reach of your power cord. If you run do have to run it underground (LOTS more trouble) to a pillar, consider pulling 4 wires for a 50 amp set up and leave room for an adjacent slot in the panel to fit a 2-pull 50 amp breaker, just leaving the last wire not hooked up till you need it. That will make it almost a trivial upgrade if you get a big trailer that requires the 50 amp setup. We had a contractor set up ours for our 30 amp requirements. I'm sure glad he pulled the larger wires and extra wire for the 50 amp that we are using now. My panel is almost identical to yours.

I talked to him today. He is still taking in turkeys, geese, ducks and cranes on a limited basis. No texts and no website (son has moved away). CALL him and leave a message and be patient.

I was informed just very recently that state trust land leased for cattle or planted/seeded may be off-limits if having hunters in the field will have a detrimental effect. Never have heard that before. Specifically, those farmers developing the round fields down by where the cranes hang out can kick you off their leased fields. Anyone ready to confirm this or had discussions with the State Land Department?

I hear there were few young birds and that is why hunting was so difficult this year. Flights had slowed and I just needed one more bird to get the first limit. I am not too proud to ground sluice. I remember crawling along the ground below everyone's feet in the blind to the end and sneaking out. I had changed to a super full turkey choke just for the occasion. This rather small bird was hanging out just outside the large decoy spread -- lonely or wounded, I guess. Well, it worked. I love ribeye of the sky. It was indeed the only one that landed in or near the decoy spread. The flights started up again and everyone got a limit, even my partner who had trouble with his gun, so he borrowed the guide's gun.

If you shoot them on the ground near the decoys, it helps avoid hitting the decoys. That also tells you the decoys are great quality.
