"Loaning firearms to friends" If it wasn't for this most of my family would have never hunted growing up. I've also loaned rifles to several friends who have now become avid hunters because of it.

My Dad and brother hunt either deer or elk every year in NM while it took me 8 years to draw a bull tag here. The one thing AZ has which would benefit you as a bow hunter is OTC archery deer tags. The fact you can go out for nearly 3 months out of the year to chase deer is awesome. Seams like a big decision to make based on just hunting. Does she want to move to a warmer area or the inferno of southern AZ?

I got rid of mine a long time ago when I did something similar and bloodied my nose. So I'm not the only one. I tried to jump up to grab a branch and binos nailed my nose. I was on my knees for a good 30 seconds. I have no complaints with my Badlands

I lucked out and drew an early archery 23N bull tag. I haven't even received my tag yet and I've already got info offering guided hunts in the mail. How did they get my address and know I got a tag? I don't mind the reading material but it just makes me wonder who else has my info.

Almost the exact same setup I use with my Badlands bino case and Leaupold range finder. I don't tether the range finder, but tuck the case flap in so I can just slip the range finder in one handed. I'm religious about ranging before every shot and tucking in my rangefinder prior to clipping to my loop. It is all muscle memory now. I think I'll try tethering see how it works, but I hate anything my release can get caught up on.

Any reports from 23N? I'm headed up this weekend to help a buddy.

Dang meant to call the office today. We moved in the last month and I'm crossing my fingers tag gets forwarded with the rest of my mail. USPS forwarding is supposed to be good for 18 months. If by any chance my tag doesn't show up can I go in office and get a new one?

The Kelty Carriers are pretty popular as well. We just picked one up off Craigslist and if looks like it was never used. I'm sure Rancilio has more experience but the Kelty is worth a try. I'm in the market but was comparing the Vipers and Monarch7 and am going with Monarch7. These then got thrown in as possibilities. I'm sure the guy also appreciates the bump he gets with every comment. -bump
