I think Rotts and Dobies are probably my 2 favorite breeds. We have a rottie that we think might be part Dobie because of his height, and leaner build than most Rotts. He is one of the best dogs I have ever had. He is the sweetest dog I have had for sure. People are scared of him because of his breed and size, but if you know him you know he is the farthest thing from scary. Friends of my parents had both a rottweiler and a Dobie when I was a kid. Both were great dogs. The Dobie was more serious and the rottie was just a big happy idiot. My rottweiler acts like a big dumb idiot too, but he is actually one of the smartest dogs I have had. He just doesn't act like it all the time.

Let's narrow this 6.5 chamber down (help)
Hoss50 replied to Zeke-BE's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
6.5x55 is my vote. It is an underrated old.school round that will get it done, and has for over 100 years. It is already in the correct action with mods, seems like a no Brainer to me. -
If you can get it to 7 day auto in flagstaff they are open today. They helped me out big time last year with a bad carrier bearing on a Sunday afternoon. They help.out Jazz on here during elk last year too.

I really want to try one of these, but life is happening right now and I am about to dump all my disposable income and then some on that. Good luck with the sale. Peoplease really seem to like these scopes.

16 Gauge O/U w/3" Chamber
Hoss50 replied to AmericanThunder's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
I love 16ga. I love rounds others don't though. Mainstream is boring. Old school and lesser loved rounds are my favorites though. I know you want o/u but browning did release a new sweet 16 autoloader. That wI'll probably be my next shotgun. That or an original A5 sweet 16. -
I think i am going to have to move mine soon too. 1000lbs of no fun. They are really not that hard to move with a couple friends and a good heavy duty appliance dolly. I used to move them for side cash when I worked at the az sportsman back in the day. I rented my dolly for the last move from home depot. It was marginal for a 1000lb safe but would have been fine for most of the 500-800lb variety. I am going to try and find the burly style like I had back in the day to move mine this time though. The heavy duty modes have the 2nd set of wheels that kick back to stabilize the load, and have ratchet binders.

That unit is like most, and is road hunted hard. Get off the roads and you will have a much better shot. Try and find the beds, and the routes to and from water.

That's gotta be one of those hybrid rattlers right... half raTyler half python...

Fly-n-Hi offroad. Ask for Jeremy hammer, tell Harley from UT sent you. He will know.

If you go to scout more in unit 7E (which I know you are going to) stay off of road 419. It isn't worth the effort unless you are in a SxS or quad or something with good suspension and a decent driver.

Optics, firearms, reloading stuff & misc. for sale

Any info or pictures on the 550b? -
This is a darn nice rifle in an amazing caliber. If you are looking for a long range deer gun look no further. I ♡ 257 weatherby, and this is a fine example of a nice one.

Remington Model 700 Long Range

This is an awesome deal. If i wasnt already so invested in my 300 win mag that I have now, I would be all over this deal. -
Very nice.

Quit fishing the phoenix canals, or that is all you will catch. You need to start fishing in better waters for better hardware.

They use to have booths that you could go pay cash at. I have not been on E470 in many years though.

I bet it would work fine after a little cleaning and lube, but the question is how many bodies are on that gun. Guns don't typically end up in the lake for no reason...

I have a buddy in springerville with an RV park if you are out that far.

Since you are on the westside I would call Martin - Grand Canyon Refrigeration. He is an honest dude. 602-326-8936 You are lucky it is R410A. The price of R22 is CRAZY right now, and will be for a long time.

General Purpose/ Back up Rifle
Hoss50 replied to duckhunter175's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
If you have a 6.5 I would skip to at least 7mm or 30 caliber. I would buy a boomer and put a brake on it. Tikka or similar in 300 win mag. Light weight and has plenty of punch. With the brake you shouldn't have issues with recoil. Ammo is readily available most places. If you do a light rifle in 3006 you are probably still going to have to brake it to make it fun to shoot, so you might as well jump to 300 mag and get some thump at more range. -
General Purpose/ Back up Rifle

Something in 6.5 cal. There are alot of good rifles in alot of good calibers out there. -
A few buddies of mine went to new Mexico to buy there new dodge. Some dealer in a tiny town was giving killer prices.

I have the hose to hook it up to a bbq propane tank and that is awesome. No more waking up to change green cylinders in the middle of the night.

I love my 10x14. It is a great tent. I have the model with the top vents, but I really wish I had the model with the bid side windows. That would be nice when it is hotter out. I spent a night in it during the December elk hunts last year and it was not bad at all with a tent heater. It was probably in the teens outside, and the buddy heater on high kept it more than manageable in the tent.
