That sounds like a good learn the unit trip. Now take what you learned from the driving and pick an area you fill fits your hunting style and start working the area.

Cabelas has a application service where you pay for them to put you in for draw tags. That is probaly what the guy was talking about. As for regular over the counter tags they can only charge the tag price.

Does the 2200 have the pull out hanger for a rifle.

If I was you spend the 60 with that tag. You will want all your options available. There's big bulls not on the ranch but why not have all options available.

What does the road hunters have to do with anything that is just more folks that should not be bothering you in the back country. I wish everyone would stay on the roads.

Mine go in my sock drawer on the right hand side. That is where I keep my archery tags and any other tags I have between hunts.

If you bought your permit for your elk hunt you can archery hunt deer while you scout for your elk hunt.

No pics but if that is an old indian bow I shot thousands of arrows at the payson rabbits and quail with a 25 pound indian recurve just like it. I had a bootstring for a string and would buy arrows at yellowfront slap a 357 casing on those arrows and it made a great quail getter.

I was watching early this year but stopped. Their starting pitchers would take a lead deep into a game and the the relief guys would just blow the game. It got really hard to watch.

IA that snake played coy alright. I did everthing I could to get him to rattle. He finally just went into a root system and never made a peep. I even picked him up with a stick.

Thats what we grew up calling them. I still call them timber because of that. I have seen them on top of the rim and down in the Blue. Question for IA do the snakes have a hard time rattling right after they shed? I found 1 a couple weeks ago near kingman and there was a fresh skin near by and I could not get him to rattle at all. He was around 3 feet long. I tried to get him to rattle so I could get my grandkids to hear what they sound like. This was a western diamond back.

I think what the guy was trying to say is to have someone cut you off saying they were stalking the animal and they are not actually hunting just trying to block you from hunting that animal until the guide can get their client over there. Spotting is one thing intefering with anothers hunt is illegal. You do not have the right to stop someone from pursuing a animal. When I had the 22 sept tag I had some real nice folks warn me not to hunt certain bulls as there would be others(spotters) keeping them alive until muzzle loader season. We also ran into that in 10 last year a couple times when a couple guys told us to not hunt a certain ridge because they were after a certain bull. 11m 3 years ago had a young guy running around telling us and others he would kill people for hunting his bull. The game and fish were called and they spent several days trying to find him. With all that said I do not believe we need anymore regs out there. As with all factions of life some people are just nuts.

You can transfer it. It's not double dipping. You can take 1 deer a year and so can she.

I take rock salt and put it in those gallon tea jugs or bigger juice jugs. I put in about half water and half salt. I will let them sit for a bit and I shake them once in awhile to disolve the salt. When they are good and disolved I will pour it where I want it I have had deer hit this much faster than just placing out salt. With that said I have probally started 20 salt licks over the years and have only hunted 1 of them. Some are still being hit hard and some just never got much use.

How did he kill 2? Did he have last years and this years?
