Yeh those flat's are really loaded this time of year.

Make sure you bring snow camo. Alpine is getting dumped on. There are alot of coyotes in the blue this time of year.

They are proposing even more tags for next year. It is a war zone at the base of the rim.

I think they should ban the big glass for hunting as I would bet alot more deer hit the dirt with the aid of bino's than all the salt in the state. In almost every post it start's with we/I glassed up this buck and started to move in on him. By the way just joking about banning the bino's. This rule will be virtually impossible to enforce there are ridges in 27 that a deer can not move and not be moving towards a salt lick.

Ron How are they going to enforce what is already out there in salt licks ?

That's the problem with this world a guy almost get's his stuff taken and someone has to rationalize a reason and make it his fault. It doesn't matter where it is in sight of a road or not if it doesn't belong to you leave it alone.

I saw several hard horned muley bucks on the archery elk opener up in 27.

It is totally amazing how quiet a bull can walk up on you.

Unit 22 had 2500 tags when I was a kid. However there were alot more deer. It never seemed crowded then but now that the deer pops are like they are it gets really crowded feeling.

It seems that the round valley herd always have at least 1 or 2 big bulls in it. I know the golf course has a couple big bulls using it also.
