Help.. Green funk on stainless parts
ctracingraptor replied to ctracingraptor's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I use KG products exclusively, then wipe everything down with a very light coat of rem oil. Occasionally i use wipeout and let it sit overnight, when i just can't get to it until the next day. -
The shield is a very nice carry, but so is the glock 43. Try them both out, I personally am going to get the 43, and put my 23 back in the safe.

if you subscribe to the stealthcam email, they will send you links for deals on their old cams. I've seen some excellent deals, cams as lows as $20. I would rather buy a refurbished stealthcam or older model, than buy a odd ball name. Just my opinion though....

I agree what's the height measurement from the floor to the bottom of the bed...

I want to reload, I need advice....
ctracingraptor posted a topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I've decided i want to start reloading, mainly for some handgun ammo, my 7mm for more accuracy and 5.56mm and .308 to save some cash. i don't even know where to start. I've read reviews saying that you don't want a progressive stage if you are more interested in accuracy. So I guess i'm asking what are the pros and cons of the single stage vs the progressive. Now me personally am the kinda of person that only likes to buy something once, and not so much of the "this one is good enough for now" theory. I really don't like buying things twice. I'm not looking for the most expensive set-up in the world, but if the most expensive set-up happens to be the best in the market, then i will give a strong look. I've read a lot of good reviews about the RCBS Rock Chucker, but i don't personally know anyone that reloads so i'm asking for you help and opinions. So i who make the best product on the market and who makes the best product for money? thanks in advance. -

Ok now im lost, So it sounds like i need to buy both a single stage and progressive? I understand the concept of buying a single stage then added a progressive later down the road....but it sounds like a single stage wont do hangun ammo, and it will take forever to do 1000 rounds of 223 or 308? Sounds like a progressive can be used like a single and can be made as accurate as a single stage, but has the option to be quicker. Did I mention I know very very little about reloading..... -

I just purchased 1000 rounds of 5.56 ammo, to my door was almost $400. Like I said, i know nothing about the cost of reloading. But if you exclude the price of the press and dies and all the others stuff, we'll call that an investment lol. I mean just including brass, powder and bullets and such, there is no real saving? -

Thanks for the input! So can a progressive crank out the same accuracy as a single stage? I want to crank out alot of 5.56, and figure out a solid accurate performer eventually . For my 7mm I want to increase performance and accuracy. Handgun ammo i dont want anything special just enjoy shooting it. -
I got measured at Arizona Archery at 32" and I've found out I'm extremely limited in options, to either a PSE Freak or Hoyt Nitrum LD, and the Bowtech Boss. I also found the Bear Attitude. Does anyone else have any other choices for my draw length? I'm not sure how I feel about spending about a grand on my very first bow... Thanks

I have a sendero and im pretty sure it will fit, minus it's a .820 bull barrel and it wont fit your stock.... If you want to upgrade your barrel on your 700, you have alot of options....

If you're looking for a foreman or a super, I have a uncle that might be interested.....

I have a sendero, and its a tack driver for sure. God almighty its a heavy girl after a day of hunting. Might want to look elsewhere if 13 lbs or so loaded will be a issue. My buddies Tikka T3 lite is a dream to carry lol

32" Draw Length Options??
ctracingraptor replied to ctracingraptor's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
I've shot the Bear Attitude, I really like the bow for the price. But i had it maxed out 32" with no other room for adjustments. It just felt like it was a little short. Nice bow otherwise. -
Nice rig, i would love to own. Best of luck

I did shoot a nitrum @ 31" and it felt a little short... -
I would be really interested, if you're able to iron out all the details.

I'm looking to purchase an entry level trail camera, somewhere in the budget of $120 or less if possible. After reading hundreds of customer reviews, it seems like the cheaper ones always get crappy reviews? Ive found a couple of older model cuddebacks online for cheap. I found a moultrie a-5 new for $60, and a stealthcam g30 for $99. Does anyone have experience with these models? Any opinions on the best trail cam for under $100. Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

i just saw a teaser commercial for the 26 Nosler. I was curious and started googling, I was reading chuck hawks review about the significant wind drift for the size and weight of bullet, then i ended up on a field and stream review. Is this bullet only dropping about 5 inches out to 400 yards. Is this normal when compared to other 6.5 calibers, the 26 nosler has my attention. I was already thinking about getting a 6.5 creedmor or a 6.5x284 normal. Anybody else hear anything about this round, or do you think its all promotional and might not stand there test of time.
-
It sounds like the 26 nosler is just a super hot round, where as similar numbers can be obtained using other 6.5mm's. Ammo for 26 is $60 a box. I guess i was more curious if other 6.5's had similar drops to 500 yards. I know what my 7mm does at 500 and its easy to dial for the drop. I guess the 26 isnt good for the person that like to shoot his rifles often and wants to hunt with them too.

The review says 600-800 rounds before the barrel starts to fall off. Yikes.
