Keven, Looks like some deep canyons with nice sides to glass. Were the long main canyons running east-west and the deer coming over saddles from north-south? Sounds like a fun time and good crew to hunt with. Congrats. Doug~RR

The rain that falls upon the prior snow is a concern for flooding. But the runoff will be good for the water catchments, tanks, lakes. Depending on the temperature of the Thusrday/Friday storm, NOAA said anywhere from 1-5 feet of snow also.

Thanks all for the birthday wishes. Rica treated me well with two days around Sedona. No cake Friday evening, but some salmon tacos and a Kiltlifter for the palette. Saturday morning was a futile search for javelina. Unfortunately for Rica, we found a large covey of Gambels that she could not pursue as she was tethered to my belt while javelins hunting. Went back up the hill to watch the Cardinals. They showed up as well as the peccaries did earlier in teh morning. Sunday was back to Sedona where we found a couple of large coveys of Gambels. Waited for the setting sun upon the red rock ridge for some photos. Doug~RR

I think the price would reflect the cost of making them, advertising, shipping, profit? After the mold is produced, can they be made on a demand basis/one at a time upon order? Th ecost of the mold/cast can be spread out, but how many replicas will be made to do so. Have you approached Cabelas, BassPro, Sportsmans Warehouse, Scheels, etc., if they would be interested in replicas?

In addition to the quail, some good rains might help with revegetation of some of the burns in the coues units. Good greens may help the does with fawn fetus development. Wonder how much good feed during deer fetus development helps out towards a healthy mature adult deer, in that, is it like humas where poor prenatal care leads to stunted growth in body and mind? What is the health of a 5 yo deer that developing as a fetus in a green winter/spring compared to one developed during a brown one?

Have a great trip and hunt. Make the best out of what hand of cards you are dealt.

Next week's weather does look good for the fauna and flora. Hope those on the east side of Tonto Creek by Roosevelt Lake are prepared. Now to figure a way to get 100 birds not to run and flush 100 yards ahead.

Oops, you know what happens when you get older today The top buck seems to have shown during a major time. Someone with lots of cams out should plot the appearance of the deer versus the major/minor solunar times, and the positon of the moon to see what relationships can be obtained.
