With New Years approaching fast, what are your goals and resolutions related to the outdoors for next year? For me, it will be to not let the weekends slip past by not fishing, hiking, , shooting, scouting, etc, and to get some daily cardio-vascular work during the week to offset sitting at a desk. I have been a little lazy the past 12 months. RR

Rica and I wish you a Christmas that is blessed with the spirit of the Lord Jesus. Doug~RR

Today, I received the proof calendars. All look pretty good . I have ordered plenty more to sell and raise money for CWT.com. They should arrive in 10-15 business days. Amanda and I will keep you posted about final price and ordering instructions. Doug~RR

Here is the link to the story http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,580282,00.html "An educational consultant working with the Johnson family said the teacher was also alarmed when the boy drew Xs for Jesus' eyes." As someone else said, they should have told the teacher that in the next act, Jesus' eyes are open.

Did you check the spam filter? spamaway.npgcable.com But then again the electrons may have gotten stuck in NJ, as has happened with some of my emails for several hours.

What is a good, free, slideshow software that includes music? What do you know of or what are you using? I googled and came up with Slidelicious, but did not try it yet. http://www.slidelicious.com/ RR

Nate, I hear that if you wrap the butterflied backstraps in unkosher bacon, the demons run out from the meat especially when excorcised over smoky mequite. And congrats on another nice buck. Merry Christmas to ya. Doug~RR

Guess that the website and forums are of different gestation periods. Saw that Amanda did not join the forums till March 4, 2003. Does that mean we have two "birthdays" to celebrate?

I had ordered a couple to see about the quality before ordering a bunch. Fed Ex tracking has them to be delivered to me tomorrow. If they are good to go, I will order enough to cover those expressing interest earlier. These would arrive in early Jan, and are good for the next 12 months . Sorry, not in time for under the Christmas tree . Doug

Brent, Rica had lotsa fresh stuff to run around in this morning. The backyard hints of having a White Christmas. Doug~RR

Jim, Way cool dinosaur shed. Those tines come off the beam like the alternating plates on the back of a Stegosaurus. Doug

He does have some width to him. Congrats on a nice first coues. Doug~RR -
Don't forget to mention that WD-40 is a good attractant to spray on your bass lures. Hoppes and WD-40 do smell better than Old Spice for an aftershave.

With fingernails like that, it could be the Wicked Witchpig from the West. I have seen elongated deer and horse hooves, but not that excessive.

Sounds like you will need to retrain to get rid of the flinch. Go back to a .22 RF and shoot thousands of rounds. Concentrate on the trigger pull and keeping the eyes open As Mike said, get a good trigger job on your 270. Do lots of dry firing with the eyes closed and then open. Start shooting again with Remingtons reduced recoil ammo before going to full power loads. Felt recoil will be less from sitting or kneeling than off the bench. Try shooting stick, Haris bipod or the Gun Claw. If you do not have a good recoil pad like Sims, get one. Wear both foam ear plugs and muffs, as muzzle blast is also a cause of flinching. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0BQ...48/ai_81477141/ http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0BQ...48/ai_82551658/

Looks like some great country. Hope y'all pull some nice bucks out of there as the rut nears. Doug~RR

Went to Sedona hoping for some clouds at sunset. Nothing too spectacular in the sky before the cirrus on the western horizon blocked the setting sun, but here are a couple anyway from near Coffe Pot. Doug~RR

Phil, Thanks. Bring back some good ones of the area you are hunting in Mexico. I won't mind if there is a dead deer in a few either Doug

Mike, Is it working for you? Doug

With all of the recent "who's the best place" posts, just curious here. Aside from one elk in 1992, all of my elk and deer have been cut up at home.

Gino, Neighbors got some different wheels and put 14" Mickey Thompson Super Swampers on their Ranger. They have been very pleased with performance and durability. The Flagstaff Polaris dealer set em up with the wheels. I do not know who's lug pattern matches polaris for the wheels. Doug
