Glad it worked out for you.

Those of you in Tucson can carpool to the cool pines. 4 of you jump in a crew cab, the 3 passengers pay for the driver's fuel, and fuel will only cost $40 each. Even cheaper from Phoenix

Fire Restrictions on the Coconino NF
Red Rabbit replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
No fire restrictions on the Apache Sitgreaves NF or Prescott NF either. Prescott lifted theirs today. -
Campfire and smoking restrictions across the entire Coconino National Forest will be implemented starting Tuesday, July 1 at 8:00am. Fires, campfires, woodstove and charcoal fires will be allowed only in developed campgrounds and picnic areas. Use of petroleum-fueled stoves, lanterns, and heating devices meeting safety specifications will be allowed. Smoking will be permitted within an enclosed vehicle or building or in a developed recreation area. Fireworks are always prohibited on National Forest lands. http://www.fs.fed.us/r3/coconino/news/2008...-restrict.shtml KAIBAB NF: WILLIAMS, Ariz. — Officials with the Kaibab National Forest plan to implement fire restrictions at 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 25 within the Williams and Tusayan Ranger Districts. These restrictions are deemed necessary to protect public health and safety and prevent human-caused wildland fire starts. The restrictions will prohibit fires, campfires, charcoal, coal or wood stoves outside of developed campgrounds and limit smoking to within enclosed vehicles or buildings or in developed campgrounds. Fireworks are always prohibited on National Forest land. Pressurized liquid or gas stoves, lanterns, and heaters meeting safety specifications will continue to be allowed, as will campfires in developed campgrounds. http://www.fs.fed.us/r3/kai/news/releases/...estrictions.php

AGFD budget sweeps
Red Rabbit replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
AZSFW was told "when it becomes a matter of funding programs for people versus wildlife, that there is little sympathy for wildlife". This was from an e-mail received from AZSFW after the sweeps were approved. Rather irritating to know that we can approve and donate our monies specifically wildlife and outdoor funds, only to have the gooberment swipe em as they feel fit. The attitude and beliefs that underlie and found the quoted statement should be disturbing to sportsmen. Doug~RR -
tri bull
Red Rabbit replied to bowhunter4life's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Was told that this is caused by a type of fly that gets in the sinus cavity during the development of the pedicle. -
Kast, Hwy 273 from Sunrise to Crescent lake is still closed, so to get from Big lake to Sunrise, you will have to take 261 back to Eagar and then to Sunrise Ski. This will be about 50 miles and over an hour drive. RR

What's everyone doing for the 4th?
Red Rabbit replied to tjhunt2's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
But the rubber stockers in AZ are so enthralling. Can't see why you'd go to AK to try and catch some "trout" trying to escape the ocean and portrait bear bait. Take some great pictures and flex a rod continuously Doug~RR -
According to the weather radar, 9 has seen some nice showers yesterday and today. Maybe a quick greenup will help the lactating cows, calves and put some finishing touches on the bulls. RR

Troy, I read where the Cicadas are now singing good on the Ferry. The report on LeesFerry.com is a couple of weeks old. -
Owing to the pines, I'm guessing he's not down around Lockwood. Feel free to PM me where he spent the rifle season last year Rob may not have a 9 tag, but I do.

Guess you can rule out Fox Ranch due to the lot prices alone.

Where's This? Pic #2
Red Rabbit replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
The fire is about 8000 acres now. Section 27, T. 19 S., R. 31 E. I took a forky from that section 27 and missed a 115 in the next section to the north another year. A friend took a nice 3x4 from the area seen in the photo, which is to the west of section 27. We hunted that area about 15 years ago. Doug~RR -
Anyone recognize this cabin and know its location in coues country? Doug~RR
