Went down to the Kachina convenience store to get some dog food for breakfast (for Rica, not me ) and her breakfast was delayed by 17 bulls in the meadow. I believe the bull on the left is the same bull on the tee box from last week's pic, except he lost a little wool. Doug~RR

Red Rabbit replied to crazy4COUES's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
That buck will certainly raise the hope/hunt anticipation level. Did you put the camera on a scrape you found, or make a mock scrape? -
CC, You should receive your tags in anywhere from 5 to 18 working years after the draw. RR

I'd guess the same units as last year (30, 35, 36), and unit 7 archery deer.

2nd annual Flagstaff area CWT get together!
Red Rabbit replied to Lance's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Get-togethers!
Close to 20 of us gathered fo food, fun, arrow flinging, fishing, campfire talk and antler scoring. Traveler won the archery contest. Some never showed up for the 100 yard shoot-off , but Schmitty knocked a 12 on his first launch at 80 yards. Man's best friend certainly enjoyed romping the forest and water also. Lance contributed two racks for a scoring contest. Many thanks to Lance and Carrie for organizing the gathering and providing tasty burgers and dogs. -

Grong Orange signs are out pointing to the same location as least year. The turnoff to Marshall Lake is a little ways (1/2 mile?) below the dam of Upper Lake Mary. Drive to the top of the mesa. Go 0.4 mile on the dirt road toward Marshall Lake. Turn left and go 0.2 mile and past the tank campsite.

This up and coming player hit a beautiful fade down the right side of the fairway last evening. Gonna keep an eye out for his development.

Christian, Good to hear your folks are coming. Assuming they bring the GWPs, Rica will have some other "ugly dogs" to cavort with. Doug~RR

If those are the "small?" ones you sold, I'd like to see the ones you kept. Nice bunch of calcium deposits. RR

The 100 gr T-locks are on the end of my arrows. Fly like field points for me. They have not drawn blood though. A couple of years ago, the local archery shop tested the T-lock, Slick Trick, Montec, Muzzy, and found the T-loc penetrated the best into a new foam target. It was the only broadhead to poke out the back of the target.

Travis, I enjoyed a 16A archery elk hunt several years ago. Enjoy yours! Doug

Ahh, the glee of "you've got mail." Congrats to you whose mailboxes have been struck. Will they email condolence notices also? (I did not apply in NM this year) -
New, they list for $853. Don't forget tax, gas, holster and ammo. I have about 130 rounds of factory 357 and 38sp to throw in. Stan, The magic words are...."I'LL TAKE IT!"

No special regulations on Marshall; bring your worms, corn and Power Bait. But like all trout lakes (more like ponds), cannot use live minnows.

I am trying to raise some $ for a nice SLR, which I will use more than the revolvers. This Smith does have a crisp SA trigger pull You do get paid this Friday

Check out the nice rig 257 WidowMaker that Kampfeld did for dvdegeorge. The different coloring of the fluting, shroud and knob sets it off. This should give you some ideas. (scroll about halfway down the page) http://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/u.../page/1/fpart/7
