Pics from Scott's November hunt
-
The MM poster said it was killed in Jan 07 in old mexico. Chad, do you have a link to a pic?
-
I see photobucket did you well. Had to laff at the pic with dualing tongues, but you need to have your neck looked at Nice buck. Welcome to the site. RR

Open a free account at photobucket.com, upload your pics there, and cut and paste the IMG address of the pic into your post for the photo to appear automatically. Attaching the pics with your post through cwt.com uses up the server space and costs Amanda some ching. I wonder if the server is full again, as she recently had to delete some old pics.

I don't hear the fat lady yet, so good luck. It might be a little cooler this weekend. How did the organic test go? I enjoyed the organic lab, but not all of the reaction equations to memorize. Doug~RR

Kevin, the post on MM said about a "lease down there", so I was thinking Mexico. Maybe a ranch in NM unit 27?

Impressive buck and pics. I am sure the story will be equally as good. Your Mom has to be totally jazzed. Doug~RR

Stan, The outfitter's website says nothing about hunting in Mexico. Presume we might be forced to scan through the magazine article at the local newsstand in a few months to get pics and story. Doug~RR

This was from B&C website (sim to what was said above from SCI): The Next Lead Battle October 30, 2007 By Outdoor Wire Arizona animal advocates are now pushing the Arizona Game and Fish Commission to issue a ban on lead ammo. The Center for Biological Diversity, now says with the California law on the books, Arizona becomes "the next step in our campaign." Arizona officials haven't responded, and one source says they don't plan to. In response, Sandy Bahr, the Sierra Club's Grand Canyon chapter spokesperson, told the Arizona Republic the Sierra Club will formally petition the commissioner by early November if they don't get a response. Bahr also says they have not ruled out litigation. In the meanwhile, Arizona isn't ignoring lead ammunition. The state issues coupons lead-free ammunition for those hunting in condor territory, and continues an education program to educate hunters of the threat lead poses to condors.

Silver bullets? Eh, lone ranger?

Lots of Gambel quail in the area, if you need a mid-day diversion. Some guys at the ADA deer camp had their dogs last year. Here is the ADA info from last year. The 20c camp should be in the same place this year and Matt Pierce, the G&F WM, may have sent maps to all of the youth tagholders. Terry Herndon's (akaTLH) number is listed to call if you have Q? http://www.azdeer.org/06_youth_article.htm

Mike, I am sure both of you have been waiting a long time for this moment. Enjoy! Doug

Forest Service closing approx. 50% of our roads!
Red Rabbit replied to crazy4COUES's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
If the situation were reversed and the USFS were to say that they were going to double the number of roads so there is a road along every ridge top and draw bottom, I suspect many would not be too happy. But it seems there is a road leading everywhere right now and we are already have the "roads doubled" situation, so I have no major objection to the closure of some. -

Brian, I can see why you were excited. You were breaking up pretty bad over the phone- couldn't have been the reception . 6 hours?- you were indeed a ways in there. Without Levi, guess you'd still be packing out. That right beam sure is long. Well done! Doug~RR

Gabe, Everyone is probably out hunting, or helping another. Look for EFI. Talk to Jeff about where he got his best price. http://forums.atvconnection.com/ http://www.atvoutdoors.net/forums.asp

Forest Service closing approx. 50% of our roads!
Red Rabbit replied to crazy4COUES's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Have already had meetings for the Coconino and Kaibab. I can agree with closing some roads. Do not agree with the dispersed camping a vehicle length from the road (dust, noise, safety, aesthetics) and no off-road travel to retrieve game. Like many G&F proposals, seems the public input meetings are equitable to windward urination. -
I would wait to draw any conclusions till after you look at his teeth to age the buck?

Bill, I was told that a jag was taken in southwest NM on a USFWS sting operation on a southeast AZ "outfitter/guide" years ago after jags became verbotten. Doug~RR
