"Survivor" Pup #2

Arizona had a wet winter and spring, so it finally bode well for wildflowers in the desert. Thus, I made a few photo trips down from Flagstaff to augment the desert portfolio. Bartlett Lake northeast of Scottsdale, the Superstition Mountains and Apache trail east of Phoenix offer plenty of floral candy. More than than just the images posted below can be seen in my spring desert gallery. https://www.plateaulightphotography.com/Landscapes/Arizona-Landscapes/Desert-Wildflowers/ Poppies above Bartlett Lake. Edelmann's hedgehog blooms. Milky Way over the Superstition Mountains and yellow brittlebrush. Lost Dutchman Leprechaun's Lair Towers of Bloom Thanks for having a look. The cactus blooms are just starting so there will be more to photograph soon.

While out photographing the mountains and desert wildflowers east of Phoenix last weekend, I heard some rocks tumble. Looking in that direction, I saw what I thought was a deer several hundred yards away. Pointing my telephoto lens in that direction, I could see the round white butt of a bighorn sheep. So I abandoned the canyon shots and went in pursuit of the three desert bighorn sheep. If you are interested in the desert wildflower images from the Superstition Mountains and Bartlett Lake areas east of Phoenix, here is a link to that gallery: https://www.plateaulightphotography.com/Landscapes/Arizona-Landscapes/Desert-Wildflowers/ Thanks for having a look.

Off-road, I dislike the low hanging, perch belly frame of the Chevy, and also that the shock hangers are below axle level.

Book your room at the hunting lodge at the Elkhorn Ranch early

Antelope/Deer Bullet recommendations
Red Rabbit replied to Born2hunt's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I'd try a 150 or 165 Accubond. They are generally easy to load for and get good groups, BC is good, expansion similar to a Partition. -
Go to the "options" box at the top of each conversation to delete them. BTT for Edge

A political snafu has delayed the elk draw and possibly the upcoming hunt seasons.
