One of the first places I went when I became serious about landscape photography back in 2009 was atop the Paria Plateau in northern Arizona. After not visiting this location for several years, I ventured back there earlier this month to find that it is still a visual treat. Once the summer rains come and fill the reflection pools, a return trip will be in the offing. My first trip was with a 12MP Nikon D90 and 18-105 kit lens. The recent trip was with a new Fuji GFX 100s 102MP medium format camera. Many of my favorite images were taken with that D90 in the earlier years, and hence I would like to return to some locations to reshoot with the GFX.

A friend and I would like to pursue these critters in the next month. I have only seen these monkey-like creatures once several years ago in unit 29 and really don't know where to go. Have any of you lucky coues hunters run across 'em this past season and would like to point me in the right direction? gps coordinates are greatly appreciated. Thanks. Doug/RedRabbit

Try to get the height without raising the center column as it is a major source of vibration when extended. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1590182-REG/slik_615_931_pro_cf_934_carbon_fiber.html

Congrats on your successful antelope hunt. For field judging antelope, the Grimmetts of Pronghorn Guide Service have a useful video titled "Size is Everything".

A friend and I had December 6A WT tags many years ago. He sat the northwest rim of Fossil Creek opening morning and said there was a hunter glassing every hundred yards. I was in "deer basin" and saw only muleys and elk. Something must be going on in 6A (mtn lions and lack of rain) with the reduction of WT permits.

Look at the bonus point reports and last year's hunt numbers to look and see what Goulds hunts you may have a chance at drawing with your last year's 24 points. https://live-azgfd-main.pantheonsite.io/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/2023_Spring_Bonus-Point-Report.pdf

Evidently, Tikka offered it in both 1-8 and 1-14" twists. Here is a discussion on another forum. https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/18693032/gonew/1/tikka-question#UNREAD Bump ttt.

In Bidens speech at Red Mountain, did he really say there were NINE wonders of the world?

Nice walleye. You got your yearly allotment of mercury 😉
-
Glad to know you "old pharts" 😉

My search for 270 WSM brass on ammoseek.com came up empty. There is ammo though

Those Kuiu with the vents may be nice during quail hunts. Tempting. I have an old pair of Cabelas briar pants that work well in the catclaw and have been on most of the Coues hunts.

I have a deer tag somewhere between Utah and Mexico.

Looks like the first deer tag in three years.

Viewing forum activity, there were 301 members active in the last 4 hours. Now, looks like most are looking at this thread or the classifieds. But back on April 11, 2104, there were about 12000 active online- Wonder what happened that day at 3:12 pm?

What was your worst waste of money spent on hunting equipment? I can recall having a Rangematic 1000. Bumps and temp changes sent it into an errant tizzy. Making a WAG on yardage was often more accurate. https://www.ebay.com/itm/203869511906?hash=item2f7791e0e2:g:JMMAAOSwjEBiJ2yd

Thank you sir. Looks like that is the explanation of cause. The column headers should be re-titled to delineate #applications from #applicants.
-
In looking at the bonus point report numbers for each hunt and bonus point group, the number of total permits issued does not equal the total of the resident and NR permits issued. Same inequity holds for the number of applicants. What is the accurate number- total or sum of R&NR? https://azgfd-portal-wordpress-pantheon.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/archive/Bonus-Point-Report-2022-Fall-Draw.pdf
