Scott, I suppose it is still more comfortable glassing than a foam pad, even if you cannot lean back in the chair while eyes are in the binos. Have you tried a black eyepatch for use with the spotter?

May be good on a slope, but it may provide faceplant entertainment after a beer around the campfire??

I have tried a couple of Crazy Creek "chairs" in hopes of finding some back support. I went back to just a foam pad and occasionally lean back to stretch out. With this Helinox chair, I wonder if leaning slightly forward is comfortably doable. Perhaps a trip to granola REI to test is in order. Thank y'all for your responses.

These ought to be great for long range shooters/hunters to spot their hits. Gotta get ya sum.

The longest has been about an hour before tracking and photos were finished before field dressing commenced. Get the hide and guts removed asap, or do a gutless method. If mounting, be sure to get ALL of the neck meat out and the hide off to the jaw ASAP if you cannot cape yourself.

No chainsaws, No target shooting. There were over 30 abandoned campfires last weekend, one of which started a small fire on the Peaks. Campfires were illegal last weekend in dispersed campsites. Fuggin idjuts.

Has anyone tried these from Rudolph? http://www.opticsplanet.com/rudolph-optics-gear-quad-shooting-sticks.html I just got a set of the short version but they have not been out of the living room yet. With support front and rear, they seem steadier than bipods or cross sticks. Easy to adjust height. Windage would be adjusted by moving one of the bottom sides forward or back on the ground. As soon as this 40mph wind quits, it will be time to shoot.

I like the looks and longer neck of that SLR. If you are looking for reduced recoil, what about a 6 CM or 6mm SLR ?
