Excellent. Congrats to the young men and you.

Yep, we already had the Fisher fire here by Marshall Lake last weekend.

Life is too short to drink cheap beer.

That was a pretty poor photo. the daily scum usually does a better job on their April Fools story.

Last weekend was the first weekend I have traveled to photograph this year as the weather has been lacking. Since the road to Hermits Rest at he Grand Canyon will close to private vehicles on March 1, I followed long-held advice and went west. Sunday morning's sunrise had pink clouds and red glow on the ridges above the river gorge as seen from Pima point. The clouds departed and left clear skies for Sunday afternoon. I decided to use just the 300mm and take telephoto landscapes as the last direct light hit the inner canyon features. Finally, the sun left the canyon and about 10 minutes after sunset, the earth's shadow made for a pink and blue sky with a soft glow in the canyon.

Thanks all for looking. I am still waiting for that big snowstorm to hit the northland and fill the ditch with white.

kaz-PM me your email address and I will send you what I have. For what years are you interested?

Fall color is heading slowly heading downstream in Arizona. Last evening, I took a quick trip to Beaver Creek with its sandstone and sycamores to catch the leaves swirling in a pool. I was surprised how black the water appears, but it makes the swirling leaves contrast nicely. Exposures were about 5 to 15 seconds with ISO 100, CPL, and low light right after sunset

From this morning near Flagstaff, three young bulls. The first two images are with the D600 and 300 f/4 and cropped about 65% width-wise. The third is with the D90, 300 f/4 and 1.4TC, no crop.

Last weekend, a thermal inversion kept a sea of fog ebbing and flowing into the Grand Canyon. While tourists moaned that they could not see the river and the canyon depths, I relished the uncommon conditions.

If you have the money, you might look into the Kifaru line of packs. I have a Mystery Ranch NICE frame with load sling and bag, but the Kifarus are said to carry better.

Hope someone found and picked up the pup. BTT

I have a 6.5 WSM. Looks like the velocity is about 200 fps faster with this 26Nosler as I am getting 3200fps with 130 grainers.

My experience with the ZR is dated and does not cover the current models. You might search through the opticstalk forum for opinions. I think the poster Klamath has a wide range of experience. It looks like the Cabelas Euro HD might be a consideration too. http://opticstalk.com/binoculars_forum9.html

Cat got your tongue? Oh wait, we stir-fried him on the deer hunt. That tasted good.

Thank you for the birthday wishes. Yesterday afternoon, I drove up to the Grand Canyon to see the full moon rise at sunset. It made for a pleasant afternoon and evening.

Some bucks are just plain pretty and symmetrical. Glad you got to get one such with your boys in tow.
