Cyafoya... I was having an issue with my 300wsm brass chambering also. My brass was just a touch long, 2.095-2.100. I trimmed all my brass to 2.090 per the Lyman book, and it all chambers perfectly now.

My wife and daughter both hunt. Both of them started with a cow elk. My wife when we were 17 and my daughter when she was 11. We hunt a lot as a family or with other families. My wife has been on many hunts over the last 20 years as the only woman in camp. She has also packed out more elk meat than some grown men ever will!!! Oh ya, and both of them shoot better than me

Doubling up on coues bucks with my wife two different times was awesome! My kids elk, deer, turkey and pig hunts always come to mind. But this one helped shape my love for hunting 20 years ago. When I was 15, my dad and I drew late rifle bull tags. We hunted hard for a few days with no luck. It was day 5 and dad said we had one last morning because he could not afford anymore time off work. That morning we did not even see an elk, we were driving back to camp to pack up and leave. At 11am a spike ran across the two track road, Dad jumped out and dropped him! Then he heard me shoot, he said did you shoot at the spike also? I said no, I shot that one, he looked the other way and my big 5x5 had died right in the middle of the road! He looks at his spike and looked back at mine about 3 times and finally said "well son of a B****" in a good ole John Wayne twang! We hugged and laughed the rest of the day breaking down those bulls with frozen hands.

Youth hunt camps have great people and it is always awesome to see a kid kill their first big game. If you know the unit, guide/mentor a kid or just help glass and then pack out some elk meat. Heavy packs in elk country always makes for new friends and great memories!!

They burned about 2 miles of road on the SE flank last night. Last I heard the line held with no slop over. Might be the heat signature you see on arcgis.

Already got mine also.

My son and I had to back flush ours on a trip last summer. But I think my son got to close to the bottom of the little creek we were using and sucked up sand into it. Very easy to back flush.
