Adam Read note #37 of the deer notes in the spring regs. City or town laws supersede AZGFD Laws for fire arm discharge.

    Trout recipes please.

Another great way to eat em is smoked! Google a good brine and soak for a half to full day in brine then smoke for a couple hours either on a charcoal smoker or gas grill with a smoke box and chips. You tube will be your best friend for ideas. Either do a sweet brine with pineapple n such or a bold one with Worcestershire and pepper! Eat hot with favorite green or cold with crackers! BUENO!

    Trout recipes please.

My favorite trout dish is trout Pico De Gallo for an appetizer! Wrap tout in foil small amount of oil or butter, lots of fresh ground pepper, lime slices smashed, cilantro, salt, and a little water for steam. Grill or bake till thoroughly cooked. Bone and skin should peal off easily with fork if done right. Mix meat with favorite Pico de gallo and serve hot or cold with favorite chips. Spice with salt or ground slap ya momma or lime for a little more kick. Add small chunks of avocado if desired. Promise there won't be left over if done right! Cheers!

    Badger

A friend of mine killed one and took it Wild Heritage in Young and it turned out great! Looks like they are CW Sponsor. I've noticed with taxidermy you usually get what you pay for. Personally I'd rather pay a little extra for something that you get to look at forever.

    Coues Gunz!

Just curious what loads and rifles all you Coues hunters are planning on using this upcoming season? I will be using my custom Remington 700 chambered in .300 win mag. Or My 22.250 Ruger American. If I do a backpack hunt.
  10. Explorer, is this in the regs? Don't mean to hijack the OP.....I think this is an interesting debate! Didn't to mean to be so LOUD......sometimes I forget to click off the caps lock!
  11. WE LIVE IN AMERICA AND YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO CARRY A GUN. THIS IS THE WAY I SEE IT! SO IN AUGUST WHEN RIFLE BEAR AND ARCHERY DEER ARE BOTH OPEN IS IT WRONG TO CARRY BOTH A GUN AND A BOW?

    Ruger American .270 Reviews?

I have a 22-250 that I really enjoy shooting its a great shooting functioning rifle. Really like the weight for how it shoots, the action is really smooth and cant beat the adjustable trigger. Mine drives tacks at 200 yards, never really tried it past 400! Having one chambered in 270 I'm sure with trigger time and a good scope one could have a pretty lethal Coues gun. Great gun for the $$. I give them 5 out of 5 stars.

    New Hunter

Guess I should have been more clear. I was suggesting to just find targets. But lots of guys practice shooting rocks. I hear Steven Renella has a good recipe for rabbits.

Anyone been glassing in the past few days in central units for bears? 22S, 24B, 21...........Just wondering if this moisture and a little cooler temperatures has gotten the bears to move onto some of the pears.

    New Hunter

Brendon, I was thinking about a few things that new hunters often over look. There is one thing in particular that is common, and this is finding game in a scope when its "Go Time". I remember the first deer I killed, it was a mule deer at about 300 yards. I had buck fever so bad I couldn't get really comfortable shooting prone off a rock, had a hard time getting settled in with the scope etc....... it ended up working out with a one shot kill but it could have been smoother. Since then I have worked a lot on my trigger pull, shooting ability and finding the target quickly. Over time it will become second nature. If you practice this will have one less thing to worry about. You can practice when out at the range or if you are out hiking and scouting and have a rifle with you. Pick out a specific rock or cactus with the naked eye then get rested on a rock tree etc...... and practice finding your target. Obviously keep your scope dialed in at a lower setting then when your on your target zoom in. Remember be SAFE about this. Make sure your not aiming towards hiking trails, roads, campgrounds etc...Don't have rounds in the chamber or gun if your not ready to shoot. Make sure the adult you are with is on board with what you are doing as well. Good Luck!
