Have you shot the rifle in this stock? Taking another look at the pic, it looks as if it was chewed up around the area for the recoil lug. My guess that the action would bounce all over that stock when the gun was fired. If you would like to keep that stock, Google up gun stock refinishing and repair in AZ. It will take you to a Facebook page of Ron Chisler with his info. I've used him to refinish a stock for me and it was excellent work.

Looks like the buttstock was hollowed out and the barrel channel was hogged out to take some weight off the stock. I'm guessing by the pic that it wasn't done by a professional.

Brownells and Midway USA usually carry barrel blanks, that might be a little faster than ordering from the factory. Brunos has blanks also. Don't know if this one would work for you or not, from Brunos.

I was reading a piece one time on the different AI cartridges. Some of them offered a 4% increase over the standard case. The exception being the 280AI, when ask why offer the other chamberings, P.O. said his customers request them.

What size barrel? That commeretive came in two lenghts, 20 inch and a 26 inch. Those were made in about 68, a portion, a small portion went to the Museum in Cody.

Well if you click on the Team STO profile is says he joined on Sat at 12:49pm, his first post was at 12:58pm asking for ammo. I'm guessing that Team STO didn't spent that 9 minutes between joining and his first post, putting up any likes or helping anyone out. Just sayin! On the side, if you think there are some brutal people here, go on the 24hr Campfire and post that your a Biden supporter and you think Kamala is hot, you voted for Hilary last time and you shoot a 6.5 Creed. -

Never seen it actually work, just the aftermath. With the ground squirrels their arms are all folded up and their tails are all splayed out. Got a couple pack rats out of the pool skimmer basket.

We use Rat Zappers. Takes care of mice, ground squirrels, pack rats, had a big spider in one, and a couple of birds. Just put some peanut butter in the back. They don't last that long however outside. Amazon sells them and I've seen them at Ace Hardware.

I ordered 2 boxes of bullets from them and they were out of stock with a 2 month wait time. My card was not hit, and I simply cancelled the order.

With a shotgun fit is everything. Another thing is how you mount your gun. Most rifle shooters will throw the gun into their shoulder then flop their head on the stock, with a shotgun your eye is essentially your rear sight so you have to mount it correctly. There are several you tube videos on the subject, just type in shotgun mounting. Gil Ash has a good video.
