I had a distant cousin that came out of a Tavern one night and there was a possum in the tree by his vehicle, he grabbed a handgun and plugged the possum. That was his claim to fame " Ol David shot the town possum", but this was 50 some years ago before cell phones, so he couldn't take a selfie. Being in town I'm sure there was a power line near.

The funniest thing that I remember about the first one, she had just got started on birds, I brought her into the house, and the ex had a shoe box laying on the floor. That dog locked up tight on that shoe box and wouldn't leave it. I went over and took the lid off, and there was a feather duster made of Ostrich feathers in there.

I feel your pain. I've had two GSP's that I had to put down, one was Parvo at 5 years old, the other was age at 15. Like losing a family member.

Thanks for the info!

I think with that Browning it has a magazine, so as far as OAL you are limited to what will function in the mag, unless you want to load one at a time. I use 40.5 gr of H-4350. In my rifle that seems to duplicate the Hornady Hunter 143gr ELD-X. You might be able to squeeze a few more feet per seconds out of it, I don't know.

If the season is from Sep 15-Oct 31, and the ranch that I would have access to, if drawn is in Unit 72, what would be the best time to go weather wise?

For Those of you with older Parents or Grandparents out there have them beware of scammers. My parents got hit today bailing their grandson out of the can. Unfortunately my Dads hearing isn't the greatest and he's lost a Couple of steps mentally, and there is always a wolf hanging around for such things.

Am I Missing Anything as far as a good read for Coues? A few O'Connor books, or books with a few of Jack's articles on Coues. Couple of Boddingtons books that Coues are mentioned, and Tony and Duwane's book. I also have Carmichaels Classics that has 1 Coues story in it.

I know when Berger was starting to make hunting bullets, they were testing them on dead cows. I don't know if you live by any dairies or not but if so, you might give them a call. Depending on how serious you want to test your bullets.

Pardon me, but with that tang safety it's not a Mark ll, still a great price, shouldn't last long. -
One time I went to a function that two Joe's were the guest of honor. Arpiao and Foss. One was the real deal and it was real neat just being around him, and the other was a bag of wind. That being said I wouldn't vote for a democrat.

About a week ago, at the place where I work, I saw a Coyote walking around with about an 8 inch piece of wire in it's mouth. It was strutting around like it hit the lottery. I thought to myself there is no way that Coyote is going to eat that wire. Two days ago right beside the trash can was this.

I just had F-150 for two weeks, it was a nice ride, and I was thinking about getting one, but the rental had 10,000 miles on it and it leaked engine oil.

I wonder how many they thought they were going to sell? 2.7 Mil is a pretty deep hole.

Can the Bolt on a post model 70 be converted to a CRF
10Turkeys replied to PRDATR's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I'm sure if you can find a gunsmith/machinist with the time and you have the money, they can put together anything you would like. My bet it would be cheaper to buy one of the new Winchesters made by BACO, Browning Arms Company, they come with the CRF bolt and the three that I have had have all been accurate. -
Ran into my first of the year a Couple of weeks ago.

What does it weigh?

I bought this can before I went into government housing in 78. Stayed outside in a shed for at least 8 years. I used some of it probably 15 years ago, and it still worked. Just pulled the top off and checked the powder, still good.

If given a chance, try to get a French or Italian military weapon. They were only dropped once.

160 E. Commonwealth Ave. This Armoury was torn down and the one on Cooper and Germann replaced it.

No Sir, but that's where the range and equipment was kept.
