I'm curious to hear about this from a foreigner's perspective too. My wife has a lot of family in Obregon and Hermosillo and we go down there a few times a year. We have been following the gasolinazo situation closely. I've been wondering how it's affecting the January hunters.

Anybody but the Seachickens!!

I've always just slipped off my boots and gone in my wool socks. After yesterday I've decided I can't go that route anymore. My feet are killing me today. And of course the deer gave me the slip anyways.

I do paper app and money order every year for this very reason.

I've given people food and water when they were clearly in need down in the southern units. I've seen a lot down there and it's crazy all that goes on that most of us will never know or see.

Congratulations to you and your wife. There is nothing better than being a father. -
AZ Hiking Shack on 32nd St and Thomas has a great selection of topo maps. They have the whole state on a grid like oz31p said. That way you can see which one(s) you need.

Indians have 3 runs now. Three more for the Cubs and DesertBull will look like a genius.
-
I agree. Momentum is huge in baseball and it seems to have shifted to the Cubs.

Lots of space in 24B. I had that same late November hunt last year. I tagged out opening morning and only crossed paths with one other hunter on the drive out and he had also tagged out.

Awesome!!!! Congratulations. -
Sweet bow at a great price. I'm guessing that people are probably set up for the current archery seasons right now. I bet it would have gone fast six weeks ago.

How is the sizing on Lowas? I wear a size 10 1/2 in most boots, but I wear an 11 in Danners. I've been wanting to get some Lowas.

I wouldn't say this draw went pretty smooth, they didn't charge me for anything.

I'll give you $40 for both pairs.

It's almost always a little hotter than reported on the news. The weather station at Trilogy Golf course at Power and Queen Creek hit 122° between 3 and 4pm today.

backpacking in the southern units, mainly 36b
daryl_s replied to firstcoueswas80's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
As soon as you get a few miles in either direction from border towns, yes. Some places like 36B have very long stretches of full on fence, but in a lot of remote border country that little stuff is all you see. -
Tikka T3 SS Lite .270 & Cannondale Road Bikes
daryl_s replied to montejello's topic in Classified Ads
Those are great prices on the bikes. Have you posted them anywhere else? There's not many cyclists on here. -
I would think Big Lake wouldn't be too crowded next weekend since most people that like to camp and fish are out right now.

Who wants to road trip to Rocky Point?? I know its not Cabo, but this thread is killing me. I want to get out there so bad right now.
-
If you're okay with topo maps instead of flatline maps AZ Hiking Shack on 32nd St and Thomas has pretty much every topo map for the state. If I remember correctly they are just under $10 each.

Hahaha, I saw one of these pics on Instagram earlier today. I double tapped it. Looks like you had a great time. Thanks for sharing with us.
