Excellent write up and awesome story. Looking forward to more pictures and the story of Cody's buck. I don't know how you guys pass up bucks waiting for a giant. I see a little forky and I can't help myself. Congratulations!

    Which 10x's

I bought the Zeiss Conquest HD 10x42 a few months ago and love them. You can find them new for around $900 if you shop around a little. I haven't compared them to the others you mentioned but they definitely are top of the line glass. Zeiss has also stepped up their warranty. The outdoorsman stud works on them too.

    Bear Strike for sale

No problem. Glad I could help. Jordan was with me when I got my buck yesterday and he's super stoked to start hunting.

    Optics?????

This is very well said and mirrors my experience exactly. I have been using Nikon Monarch 12x42 for the last 8 years or so. I always tried to justify that they were good enough. They were your typical $350 binos, not bad, but not great either. For many years I justified that they were good enough, even though secretly I always wanted to upgrade. Well, I decided that I was going to upgrade to one of the big three. I went with the new Zeiss Conquest HD 10x42. My experience was exactly the same as yours. They were clearer and much more crisp. It may not make sense, but the picture through the glass just looked more "real." With my old Nikons I could only glass for an hour at most before I had to take a break. With my Zeiss I couldn't stop glassing all day. There was zero strain and it didn't feel like a chore to be looking through them all day. The old cliche is true.....My only regret is that I didn't upgrade sooner.

    36B Right Now

If you ever wondered what thread is worse than a "huge buck down, pictures coming" thread, this is it. We need to know ASAP if you nailed him, and then ASAP after that we need pics. By the way, the ultimate way to tempt Murphy is to post a thread like this. I'm way too superstitious myself.
  15. Have you searched for any Toyota specific forums? 9 times out of 10 you can find the answer from someone else having the same problem and posting about it. A lot of times it's something that you can fix yourself and save some $. Google and YouTube have saved me a good chunk of change. Good luck.

    Stolen F250

Don't waste your time or money. I thought it was pretty lame. 90% of the action in the movie was in the trailer. This is a Redbox movie.

    Family Antelope Taste Test Reviews

I've always wondered about this because I've had antelope meat only once and it was horrible. It was from Wyoming. My dad shot it and did all of his own work. I know that he always gets the skin off right away and takes good care of his game. I'll definitely have to give it another try whenever I get the opportunity.

Plus, I believe you would save on the tax and I've heard Doug at cameraland is awesome to do business with. These are the perfect binos for what you said you needed them for.

    Stolen F250

That really sucks. Been there done that. My truck was stolen and torched by those kids that were lighting everything on fire in Mesa back in 2012. I've always had a squeaky clean driving record and my insurance rates shot through the roof. I hope they find your truck soon and with no damage.

Verde or Vias? Which do you prefer?

I don't personally own any Kuiu gear, but I've spent a lot of time drooling over it and I long ago decided that when I get some it will be verde. I think they're both good, I think you should just go with whichever look you like the most.

    Help with Binoc purchase

Wow!!!! That's a steal if I ever saw one. Patience can be the key to finding the best deals. After spending a lot of time trying out different binos I found that I liked the new Zeiss Conquest HD 10x42 a lot. After using the same Nikon Monarchs for the last 8 years I felt it was time to enter the world of premium binos. Due to my inexperience on eBay I watched a very nice used pair of the new Zeiss go for $670. I goofed big time on that one. There are some great deals on Amazon right now with some added incentives from Zeiss. They have upgraded their warranty. It is now lifetime and the first five years are no fault coverage. You can find a new pair for around $900 and these binos are awesome. http://www.cameralandny.com/optics/zeiss.pl?page=zeissconquesthd10x42

    Go Cubbies!!!

I like Greinke for his competitiveness, but he's a Dodger and that overrides anything good about anybody. Either way, I think Arrieta is more deserving of the Cy Young award. How bad must it feel to win 98 games and be out after a one game playoff?!?!? Ouch for the Pirates.
