    Who needs a Vacation????

It can be broken up between dates and places. If someone wants to go only 2, 3, or 4 nights somewhere that's an option also. This is the case at any of their resorts http://www.ilxresorts.com/resort If interested call or pm me and we can work something out.

I'm not going to call until one day when I log onto this website and see a 15 page thread about results being out and what you were drawn for. Only then will I know it is true. I'll let you guys drive yourselves crazy and I'll try to keep whatever sanity I have left

    Quantity or Quality?

I will take option A because I have not yet graduated to the higher levels like most of you have. I have killed 2 coues and neither would even break the 80" mark. I have been watching a buck that I believe to be in the 105 range since Sept. 1 of last year. I saw him in late January so I believe he is still there. I would be thrilled to put my tag on that buck. I have seen other hunters in this area more than once. I am sure that someday I will be able to say option B, but not yet.

    Need an honest auto mechanic

Randy's Transmission in Mesa has been good to me. I don't know where his prices rank but he seems to do good work. He has done a few things for me, including rebuilding the transmission in my Blazer a few years ago and it has been running strong ever since. http://yp.eastvalleytribune.com/randy+s+tr...4745p.home.html

    King Snake

It's funny the jingles we use to remember things. I was taught: Yellow on red make a fellow dead Yellow on black a friend of jack. Cool snake.

    Grandpa's 1975 Coues Buck

That's a great story and makes the deer that much more meaningful to put on your wall. I just showed this thread to my dad because I thought the name of Jeff Seevers sounded familiar. Jeff did a shoulder mount for my dad the year he died. It was actually finished after Jeff died. He took it to Jeff because he knew of him from touring his shop when he was in Boy Scouts.

    Party at Jim Reynolds' house!

Amanda, do you know about what time people will start gathering at Jim's house on Saturday?? I have a class on Saturday in Phoenix and hopefully I will be out before 3. Even if it's only for a few hours I still plan on going.

    Alternatives to the Euro Glass

AZhunter23, have you bought any binos yet? If not, it looks like TREESTANDMAN has exactly what you're looking for. This is a smoking deal: http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/in...showtopic=13920

    ZEISS 10*40 CONQUEST T

I bet that a year ago this time these would not have lasted throughout the day. Times are tough. I would buy them if I had the means to do so. Hopefully they go to a good home soon.

    user friendly gps?

Bass Pro Shops has this unit on sale. It's normally $149. I have this same GPS, it's pretty basic but very easy to use and gets the job done. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...0001000_250-1-0 This unit is a little more basic but has the high sensitivity receiver for the same price: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...OSSSELL_PRODUCT

    Vortex 15x56 Kaibab came in-finally

Another thing to consider is the warranty. Everyone has raved about Swaro's customer service but I think they are starting to slip up. My dad had a problem with his 15's and was told that he was going to be charged because it appeared that the problem was from the binos being dropped. These binos are his BABY, he takes very good care of them, has never dropped them and does not lend them to ANYBODY. He emailed customer service back letting them know that they have not been dropped and one of the reasons he spent the extra money on the Swaros was because of their reputation and history of taking care of their customers. They responded in a very snobby way but eventually agreed to fix the problem. They fixed the focus problem but sent the binos back with a tiny scratch on the lens. I'm not trying to sway anyone away from the Swaros because they are still the best glass out there, but when you start to factor in the price difference and better warranty of the Vortex Kaibabs it definitely becomes worth considering. After seeing the Kaibabs next to the Leicas and Swaros and seeing how good the Vortex warranty is I would have to say that I would definitely go for the Kaibabs. The larger eyecups of the Kaibabs also accomodated my eyes a lot better than the Swaros.
  22. My photography leaves a lot to be desired after seeing Doug's pictures but here they are anyways. The kids kept Tina's dog entertained most of the time. I probably need to get my kids a dog. There were a lot of really neat looking sheds and pickups out there. You should see the ones Jim Reynolds DID NOT want, Kevin (Peloncillo) brought them. Here are the resident CWT expert archers. Seriously, these guys can shoot. They all took turns shooting at 100 yards. Here is a short video of Lance hitting the target.
  23. The kids, my brother and I had a great time. A great big thank you to Lance and Carrie for putting it together and contributing so much. It was a lot of fun to finally meet the people whose posts I have been reading for the last few years. The company, food and activities were really good. I will post some pictures Monday AM. For those of you who missed it, you really need to put this event on your calendar and make it out next year or to the next get together. I look forward to meeting more people at the next one. I'm definitely planning on making it out to this event every year.
  24. I will be heading up tomorrow hoping to get there early afternoon. I will be bringing my brother and two kids. The wife is large with child and is looking forward to relaxing at home without the kids . We are really looking forward to it. It will be nice to meet so many people from the #1 website, can't wait.
  25. That's sounds awesome. I would jump all over it but I'm pretty much in the same boat as elkaholic.
