3rd Annual Flagstaff Area CWT.com Get-Together!!!!!
daryl_s replied to Lance's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Get-togethers!
I really would like to make it this year. I have never been but just reading about last years event and looking at the pictures it looks like a great family outing with a lot of good people. I'll have to start planning for it now and make it a priority. -
I have been fighting the trail camera urge for the longest time. You guys post these awesome pictures and videos and it just keeps getting harder and harder for me. I know if I get one I will end up putting way too much time and money into it. Anyways, keep them coming cause I really enjoy them. And Yes, Lion.

I was in the Mesa store a few days ago and one of the guys at the gun counter was pretty helpful about the whole situation. He said that the bank is the holdup right now and that the deal hasn't gone through yet. But who knows.......I'm sure they all have their own versions of the story. It's too bad too, cause I'm gonna be lookin to purchase a .40 cal here in the next few days. I would like to buy from them but I kow that they don't have what i want in stock. -
Thanks Gino. I'm glad to know the pack is getting used. Dad's stayin busy mostly helpin others. He's fishin for crappie at San Carlos with his brother who's visiting from out of town, tomorrow it's the drags at Firebird and Saturday pig huntin....it's a great time of year. My bro in law has a rifle tag that we're gonna try to fill on Saturday. It's his first hunt of any kind and he's super stoked which makes me super stoked to try and help him bag his first game of any kind. We'll post it up if we can pull it off.

I feel like, for whatever reason, my odds are better of getting the lower draw percentage hunts if I put in alone. This past year was the first that I did and also the first year that I drew a Dec WT tag. My dad also drew a Dec WT tag and he was permit 40 out of 40. If I was on the app then, as RedRabbit pointed out, he would not have drawn that tag.

I love the setup for the picture. Good job on the yote.

Well said! Michael has made many changes to the organization without Bills okay and they all seem to be a turn for the better all the way down to the bowtie BBQ. MMMM I love me some BBQ. One thing I do disagree on is it would not make sense to keep Boldin. I strongly feel we need to keep him. It opens the field up to have Boldin on one side and Fitz on the other. And when you stack them on one side… GOOD LORD. Defenses don’t know what to do. I would much rather get rid of lets says a backup quarterback that until now had not interest in the team. That would be quite a bit of money to free up. Just pay the man. GO CARDS!!!!! I love Boldin and I really wish we could keep him but it makes no sense at all to have two $10 million a year wide receivers. It needs to be balanced with quality players at other positions. Some of these other guys that have been big lately are going to demand more money when their contracts are up and you just can't throw it all to one position. Breaston has shown that he is a SOLID number 2 wide receiver and that's just going to have to be good enough. I hate to see Boldin go just as much as anybody else but it has to be done. Plus, with the Cowboys setting the precedent on the Roy Williams trade we could get a LOT in return for Boldin in the offseason and continue to set ourselves up for the future.

The Bidwills have traditionally been terrible owners if you judge them by the product they put on the field. However, they have started to change slowly over the last few years and the stadium has helped them to continue to change for the better. Old man Bill doesn't seem to be calling the shots anymore and Michael really seems to care about winning. I give them credit for that. I too was totally ticked about how Boldin took off and didn't celebrate with the team until I heard his explanation of it. He said that he wanted to get out before the media got in so that their questions to him about the incident didn't get in the way of the team celebrating the win. Wether it's the real reason or not who knows but Boldin has been a huge part of the team this year and has been a warrior when a lot of guys in his position would have tanked it or used the injuries as excuses to get ready for a huge payday next season. He has always put his best effort forward even right after his facial injuries. I wish we could somehow keep him but I know that it wouldn't make sense to do so. I have always cheered for the Cardinals and am sooooo excited that they have finally reached this point. I sure hope that they can use the underdog position to their advantage like they have all playoffs just one more time. I love the fact that, once again, nobody outside AZ is giving them a chance against Pittsburgh. GO CARDINALS!!!!!!!!!

I wish I was available I would go out and try to help you fill your tag. Good luck on your hunt but even more so in the academy.

I finally for the first time in my life drew a coveted 36C Dec tag last fall. I was so pumped and then as the time drew near things were really getting bad at work, layoffs like crazy. I ended up hunting only a few days and then I got laid off Jan 2. Figures, huh??? Now I have a lot more time and my hunts over. I don't have a reliable bow and don't need to spend any money right now so no Jan bowhunts for me . It's not looking good for work either. I'm guessing about 3 months for me.

UV-Killers and camo/outdoor clothes
daryl_s replied to natureboyfloyd's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
It's pretty cheap to buy and it is a scent free detergent so I don't think it hurts to try it. I have been within ten yards of deer and had them looking right at me and not see me when I had treated my clothing. Of course I didn't move a single muscle either. Even if it does work they'll still bust you on movement everytime like Casey said. Having said all that I use it everytime and will continue to do so. -
I got the call!
