    NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

My bad Casey. I knew that Phoenix College had won a few years ago and I've never heard of Pima winning anything, that's why I assumed you were talking about Phoenix .

    NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

Not to mention ASU softball is heading into the World Series with the best record of any team at 61-5, 18-3 in PAC-10 play. UA was 13-8 in PAC-10 play this year. Bring em on.

    NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

Okay Casey, I totally have to call you out on this one. Phoenix College won back to back JC National Championships only AFTER they dropped down to division II because they could not get past my CAC Vaqueras who have won 12 JC National Champinoships at the division I level since 1984. Sorry bro, had to do it. Also, ASU softball was in the cellar of the PAC-10 until Clint Meyers left CAC baseball to take over. He instantly turned them into a contender so watch out kitties. Yes, I did go to CAC where I was on the track team. By the way, the men's and women's track team have 9 national championships between them, including the women's team just polishing off the 3-peat this year. Scoutm-No argument there. OSU stepped up big the last few years when it really counted. Too bad for them they won't get the chance this year to defend it.
  5. Congratulations!!!! That's really awesome. That is something that you can be proud of and brag about for the rest of your life. I'm sure you worked really hard for it and it was hard earned. Congrats again. Daryl
  6. I was just wondering....How far is it from Happy Jack to Marshal Lake???? It looks like coming from my place I save a bit by going through Payson instead of going to Flagstaff. Thanks, Daryl

    What It's all about!!!

Heck Yeah!!!!!!!! That's awesome!!!! I have 2 kids of my own now and I still love to go hunting with my dad and brother. I can't wait until a few more years go by and I can take my kids along. Those pictures are great. You and your son will get a huge kick out of them 10-15 years for now.

    Large buck on Ebay

That's an awesome buck. No matter how awesome it is, there is no way in the world I would pay a large sum of money for a buck that I did not harvest. It's not just about the rack, it's the story and the experience that go with it, the people that you shared the experience with, etc. IMO.

    Archery Turkey!

Super job!!!! That is a great accomplishment. You should be very proud of your achievements. I think you have by far outdone all of us on here in the past year. Keep it up.
  10. Probably best to delete the thread altogether, especially if you plan on turning them in. You never know these days.

    ASU Drops Wrestling Program

That is really disappointing news. I wonder where all of the scholarship wrestlers who come back next year are going to go, especially the hometown boys like Robles. I wonder if the NCAA will make them sit out a year for transferring.

  13. No problem Become Gay and you are a minority Problem solved P.S. I hope your not on Coosefans Email list I'm looking into my options and that one's about last so far. (read with lisp please) Hey Darry come to our deer camp this year and we will solve all your problems. If I crawled into your sleeping bag in the middle of the night would you tell anyone? Bob I would not tell a single soul . I would, however, have to explain to the authorities why bobbyo never returned from that deer hunting trip .

  15. 2 years ago I was NOT hired for a job because I am NOT a minority. I was the most qualified and I was who the people that did the interviewing wanted to hire but Human Resources told them no. I was not supposed to know the reason but I found out through my "connection." I will not say what company because I still plan on working there in the future.

    hunting gear

That looks like the X1 to me. If I was looking for a pack I would jump all over it. I have the X1 and love it. Not too big, not too small.
  17. I was wondering what you guys think are the most important first aid/survival items to carry at all times when out in the field. I tried to do a search but didn't come up with much. When I was in Boy Scouts back in the day we made these little survival kits and I carried it around for years every time I was in the great outdoors. It was pretty simple but very handy. Some of the things that I can remember it having are: small plastic mirror, emergency blanket, emergency poncho, a small amount of fishing line, hooks, split shots in one those 35 mm camera film containers, dryer lint or those fire starters in a ziploc bag, one of those p38 can openers, flint and steel, small pocket knife, waterproof strike anywhere matches, a small amount of rope. That's most of what I remember from the list but I think at some point I used every single thing in there. I even tested out the fishing line and hooks to see if it would work if needed. I dug up some worms and tied the fishing line to a stick, lodged it behind a rock put some splitshots on and came back about an hour later and had about a 10" brown on there that cooked up really good. I can't remember what all I had in there but it was pretty small, simple and light. I think one thing I would add is more first aid type stuff. I just like to try to be prepared as much as possible, within reason of course. What do your lists look like and what do you consider most important or absolutely necessary? I appreciate any and all suggestions.

    VERDE RIVER

My dad brought home 2 thirty pounders from Bartlett one day and it was super good eating. From my experience they are good fresh and not good after being frozen and then thawed. The way we cook em up is take the whole filet and cut into chunks and batter it and fry em up. It's like eating popcorn chicken, but it's fish, and it tasted awesome.

    First Aid/Survival Kits

I have no idea. I just remember it being part of the kit . I also realize that water and shelter by far outweigh everything else, but there are plenty of other things that can be very useful.........first aid materials for example. My dad broke his ankle while fishing black river 4 or 5 years ago. He was with a friend and 2 miles from the truck. He had an ace bandage in his pack and was able to wrap his ankle to help keep the swelling down. Would he have died if he didn't have it??? No, but it sure helped him in the situation he was in. I just was wondering what you guys/gals normally take that you would consider to be necessary. AZP&Y-Are those water purification tablets available at places like Sportsman's Warehouse?? Thanks for the ideas so far.

    VERDE RIVER

That is a HUGE flathead, you could feed a small army with that. I think fresh flathead cooked up the day it is brought home is some of the best eating there is. There's no way I would buy it from the store though.

    Vortex Vulture binos?

+1 http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/in...?showtopic=8964 I would highly recommend this. I have the 12x42 monarchs myself. Swaros are not and will not be in my budget anytime soon. These are super binoculars for the money. Daryl.
