    Casey had an OK hunt

Casey- That has got to be the coolest hunting experience. Two lions in one day!!!! First glassing them up and then sneaking up on them!!! Incredible, congratulations.

    josh in globe

Kevin- I think what BASS is referring to is someone who shoots a bull out of season or without a tag and comes back later and acts like they just stumbled across a dead bull and then they want to claim the antlers. There have been people caught doing that.

  4. Thanks Marlon for taking the pictures and posting them. It was nice chattin huntin with ya over some hamburgers.
  5. Congratulations to your nephew. I still remember my first like it was yesterday(about 10 years ago). Hope he has many more succesfull hunts.
  6. Sounds good, I'll probably get there 11:30-11:40 depending on traffic.
  7. Okay I give up. Marlon I just may need your help. I guess my computer skills aren't too good
  8. Well, guess not. Maybe this time??? My Webpage
  9. It was nice to meet you today Marlon. It was funny, when I got in my car I caught a glimpse a CWT.com sticker and quickly did a double take. Yep sure enough, it was a red Dakota. The funny thing is that right away I knew it was az4life's truck. It was really cool finally meeting another member from this site. My computer illiteracy has kept me from getting a proper picture of my sticker up. However, I think I might finally get it this time. Here goes: http://photobucket.com/albums/c277/daryl_s...nt=NewImage.jpg Well, I hit that Jack in the Box every Tuesday at about 11:30ish. I think a picture of the 2 cars with stickers side by side would be cool, but I would have to wash my car first.
  10. Can someone please explain in detail to us computer illiterates how to post multiple pictures in one post??? I've always wondered how it is done. Awesome pictures by the way.......congrats.
  11. You guys are way more experienced than me but I will guess about 110" on the very last deer. He has awesome eyeguards and very long tines throughout. Just my guess.

  14. Thanks, those were the 2 bucks my brother and I got in Oct in 36b. Maybe one of these days I'll figure out how to use a computer

    new world record

My dad works with a guy who's brother guides in unit 22. He said that one of the clients shot a non typical that scored in the 120's but that this same buck used to be in the 140 range when it was younger. They say it was a very old buck and wasn't as big as before. But on the other hand I have not heard much detail of the hunt and have not seen any pictures so all I can do is pass on the rumors that I have heard.
  17. Okay, the file is too big and my photo editing program is down so I can't post the picture. Anyways, I drive a white '98 Chevy Blazer with my sticker in the back window. If you see me on the road honk and wave.
  18. Here's my ride with my CWT.com that I proudly display everywhere I go. The only problem is that I haven't been able to get out much lately, so if you see me out and about it's probably either going to or coming from work . I always hope to see some CWT.com stickers everytime I go to Sportmans (the one in Mesa).

    archery javelina

The first herd that we saw last Monday we watched for a while and then decided to blow on a varmint call to see how they reacted. The momma pig and her little piglets took off one direction and a few of the boars came runnin our direction. The biggest of the boars came in to about 40 yards and stopped, with that hair on the back of his neck standin straight up. He hung out and really got fired up whenever we blew on the call but wouldn't come in any closer. We couldve gotten a good shot about 30 yards had it been season. I have never had any success with varmint calls while javelina hunting but Ive heard that it works, so this experience was a new one for me. It was pretty cool. About a mile from that spot we decided to call and see if we could get a coyote, fox or something interesting to come in. We blew on the call and in a matter of seconds a big boar comes bustin out of a bush 20 yards from us. It turns out that a herd had been bedded down right under us and we didn't even know. We were up on some rocks and this boar stopped at the bottom of them about 10-15 yards away. I fumbled around tryin to get my camera out of my pocket but couldn't get it out in time to get any pictures. I got some good pictures of the first herd and will get them up hopefully tonight. I'm not as experienced as a lot of you guys on this site so something like that was totally cool for me and a good learning experience. My dad has the HAM hunt in February so Im gonna tag along and see if I cant help him out.

I went out last Monday with my dad to scout and we got into 2 different herds in unit 22. He has the HAM hunt there this year.

I say .243 all the way. That's just me though. I use mine for deer and javelina, hasn't failed me yet.

    Mexico eases Travel Requirements

Well, from what I've heard down in Obregon is that Bours is doing an overall good job as governor of Sonora. He's really been pressing this whole tourism in Sonora deal and I've noticed a difference for the better in the trips that I have made down there. So hopefully he'll make sure that the road getsdone quick, and without any of the money "disappearing."

    Mexico eases Travel Requirements

azbow- Even if you have a passport you will still need to get the visa, but don't worry, it's just a piece of paper you fill out and they stamp it and you're good to go. I just use my drivers license and my car registration and it's no problem at all. I came back Sunday from Obregon and just south of Empalme I saw where they had all the cones set up in the road and the trailers there to do all the paperwork. It should be a lot faster than the setup they had before.
