Chef replied to JMP's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Mexico
That guy just keeps going out doesn't he?! Like the picture set up too. Congrats on a successful trip. -
That's just great! Congratulations on your first deer!

Ha Ha! Great stuff Bill! Thank you very much for the invite. This was my very first time preparing wild duck breast and it came out AWESOME. Pan Seared Breast of Duck with a Jalapeno Honey Glaze Couscous with Toasted Pinenuts, Sundried Cranberries, and Grated Pecorino Romano Cheese Pan Seared Roma Tomatoes with Coarse Sea Salt Delicious!!!

Congratulations again Christian! That is one tall buck that I know you are stoked to have! I can't believe the quality of the video and long range photos through your iPhone. That's crazy impressive! Also, that's one big kitty and coues killing machine.

Happy birthday! -
Nice job with the pics and write up. Congrats on the success Casey.

My respects, big time. I can't imagine a worse place to try and find a lost wounded animal. Those mountains are brutal. Like my friend in NM says, "You aren't afraid to fall in the Floridas...you're afraid to die." On another note, I know someone who has video footage of that billy being missed with a rifle. His client choked.

Great looking buck Nate! Nice mass on his one side. I never know what to expect when opening up your winter posts. Waiting for my jaw to hit the floor again with another MONSTER!
-
Awesome Matthew! Super sweet buck! Older buck to boot, glad you got him before the predators did. You deserve all the great bucks you can tag.
-
Big time respect for relentlessly looking for your hit buck. You did exactly what and how I would have done it after that shot. Congratulations on finding him and what a sweet buck to boot!

Nice footage. So great that you got your shot on video. Buck went down quick! -
Nice job on your UFC buck Brian! I know how frustrating it can be waiting for rutting bucks to settle down for a shot. We always pray for rutting action during these hunts but when they are hot, they are HOT! With does in heat in the area, it's like a zoo! Congratulations again and best of luck to your friend.

Yeah, talk about cutting it down to the wire! Congrats on a mighty fine representation of a Coues buck! All the way from Michigan too. At least you were used to the cold!
-
Just Wow! Congratulations on a very successful trip! Can't wait to see photos of the rest of your bucks!
-
Awesome read and super sweet buck! Congratulations big time!
-
Sounds like a great Ibex! Best of luck finding him!
-
Awesome! That's a great looking cat.
-
Way to go! I just love seeing the effort you guys are putting into your hunts with the "on the hoof" photos! Congratulations to the hunter!
-
X2! ...& I just want to add...you know you're in the right camp when the "small" buck is in the 130"s!
-
Great write up man. John's buck is awesome! Congrats again to the both of you. I know how much planning and investment in time you all put into scouting for this hunt. Nice to see it paid off for one of you. Heck of a long stalk. Glad everything panned out and he was able to drop the hammer on that buck! Wish I could have been there to help you when you were hunting solo. I know how hard that can be, especially when making those long shots. Your buck still will taste good on the grill! You are right though...Mexico awaits!!
