    CMC Skullworks

I bought a couch on Craigslist once that was two houses away from his. The google map said it was his house so I got school girl excited haha! Thought I'd get to see some cool skulls! But sadly google miscalculated.

    Apparently we’re doing it wrong

Who says he hunts?? Maybe just a dude who found a way to attract wild life? Personally I won't shoot deer that hang around my place. How many feed quail, dove, other birds, watch cat species hang out in the back yard? You don't have to shoot every animal out there. If it not legal where he's at then cite him.

Big bucks... What does it take?

Spend every waking hour scouting all year long, never take a vacation unless its to hunt, find an area with everything needed to support good genetics, be a few miles off the road before sun up and back to the truck after sun down, hang cameras, don't tell people where your spot is or post revealing pictures online, hunt areas that most people wouldn't. That's what I'd do if I couldn't afford to pay a guide or if I didn't work 12 hours a day. Good luck.

How go you all cook venison roast

I've done that several times and we always love it. I need a meat slicer to turn it into pastrami or corned beef slices! I've tried to thin cut it for deli meat but its not thin enough, great tasting, just not as thin as I like.

How go you all cook venison roast

Love the whiskey/bourbon idea. I've tried almost every other way so far. Last week I heated some grass fed beef fat (was making pemekin) I injected some fat in a venison roast, it came out so good I used hot horseradish on it like prime rib. Roasted red potatoes, onions, corn, carrots, and of course ranch beans! Didn't want to even move after!

    Help me find my home!

I'd love to take him in, we take in lots of strays but funds are tight right now. Have you contacted Pima county pound, humane society in Tucson, etc. to see if someone is looking for it? We lost a 12 yr old Australian Shepard in pine top once, he was deaf and almost blind. Owned since he was a puppy. People found him and thought he was much younger since he acted like a puppy lol. They figured out his shortcomings and dumped him at the humane society in show low. That's the only reason we got him back! Put an ad in the paper and called all the local shelters. Haha! He looked like the coyote in the cage on another post when I went to bail him out.

    WTB Live Coyote trap

Kill a rabbit or leave out some old meat. Watch it after sunset for about 4 hours. You'll kill a coyote or at least see a neighborhood cat or dog.

    Hornady interbond or nosler accubond

It's just preference of your gun and what it kills better with. I'm getting really tired of the "experts" opinions. There's 3-4 guys on this sight that I would trust. One in Alaska, one in wyo now, and two in Phoenix. Oh and the 5th in safford, so 5. They never BS and never promote.

    Unit 33 Success!

I questioned whether to comment or not, but I am! Most people here shoot dove and quail. and at long ranges (past 50 yards) and when they hit, don't hit, or wing them. Not many go to look for blood on a poorly shot dove that they see flying away, the same group doesn't look for deer after a poor shot when they see it running off. If you can't shoot at least 100 yards off hand open sighs, your either lazy, untrained, have an eye illness, or are just plain lazy!!!! I always thought open sights were a pre requisite for hunting. That's what my dad said anyways.

    Solo pack hunt

used to cut wood in NM. Always stopped outside glenwood at the river to make lunch by the leaupold look out. Hippies always asked if they could "borrow" wood for their evening fire. I'm surprised dad never had a stroke or killed one of them lazy........?$&@;;/-($&?,$!? Ya know!

They make a setup to measure your chamber or you can use a cleaning rod and some tape to measure. Book charges are ok but for length it's best to check the gun itself then you know how long is to long etc. should help in the future. Sucks your hunt was ruined. I keep a 3 piece cleaning rod and a brass end in my pack (not for that issue) but incase I fall or get mud or something in my barell. I also load all my Sierra stuff from an early 70's gold covered book that's signed by the author. Awesome data and its pretty! Lol. Compared to modern manuals it usually shows max charge a few grains higher and dimensions are different in some listings, before lawyers found out there was money to be made on the shooting world.
