Amp extreme electric steps has been great. No issues and the extreme has several motors and made for the mud/ice/dust.  Plus they fold away nicely and when open they are lower than the non folding steps.

I looked at amp all day yesterday. Looks like a good option and I almost ordered a set. Figured I’d ask here first.

  2. What’s everyone have? Recently got a new truck and people who ride with me have a hard time getting in. I don’t really want steps but I gotta get some. Electric fold aways are what I’m really looking at or low profile stationary bars. Anyways, what’s everyone got on their trucks?

Owner/builder for a livable structure I think might be different than the opt out permit. It’s for non livable structures like storage, garages etc.  If they’re still offering it? There are no inspections and no detail plans only a site plan showing property lines and not much more than a concept drawing. As for number of structures allowed on one property I’m not sure?

That’s essentially what I did for the owner builder. I’ll look into it though. Thanks for the info! Hopefully they don’t require permits since it’ll be hard to prove the structural load.

Thank you for your response. When a program has failings the problem is always at the top. Upper administrators erroneously believe they know best when it's normally the boots on the ground guys that know where the problems are and how to fix them.

Too much arrogance and foolish pride by administrators cause so much grief!

Thank you to/for those that are trying and let's keep up the pressure on the admin until they listen and get it right! 😆

Upper level guys may not “believe they know best” but they might be going by budget, or any other restriction. I was in your shoes (not azgfd) but became a decision guy. I see all 8 sides now! No one is happy by any decision that’s made, lower, upper, or middle level. You do what you can to make the most amount of people happy.

Are you In Cochise or Pima county? In Cochise and RU4 zoned (min 4 acres I believe)you can apply for the opt out permit where there are no inspections except at the end where the assessor comes out to measure. Oh yeah they’ll get their tax $

I’m in cochise. I already used the ru-4 owner/builder for my house and guest house. Can’t use it again for anything else to the best of my knowledge.

that's more than I would have thought. I think i'd stick build it or use one of those metal garage kits, given that price for boxes. it would look nicer too

I’m looking in to permits. Haven’t found anything yet but if it’s not required for the container garage then I’ll end up on top I think?
