I really like how nevada does it... squaring your points, still gives everyone a chance unlike preference points.

No it was not annonced, I called Cabelas TAGS and asked. They said since then online draw was extended there is precedence! Cabelas TAGS did this same thing to me last year with a colorado sheep application, cabelas messed up and wrote the check for the wrong amount for everyone who applied for sheep in co and the co. division of wildlife would not make an exception for them.

Winner Chosen in Camera Land's Drawing
missedagain replied to gr8fuldoug's topic in Optics and tripods
Looking back over the winners I see: Earl P won during our Minox Give-Away Vince B won during our Zeiss Give-Away Chad R won during our May 2007 Give-Away (I forget which mfg. it was) Keep entering. This next drawing is for three Leica digital cameras, then the rest of the year we have other exciting items lined up. OK I take it back, thanks for all of your support of hunting websites. -
81% of Antelope tags go to NR....
missedagain replied to jamaro's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in New Mexico
This is one of the factors that makes me against landowner tags, it is one thing for the state to auction off tags to the highest bidder if they are going to use the money for conservation but to allow private parties to profit off of wildlife is what is turning our sport into one that only the elite can enjoy. -

Come on Doug I don't think I've seen a Coueswhitetail.com winner yet! -
Winners choice makes some of the best strings out there, I think it is highly unlikely that the problem is with the strings. I would take it into PSE and see if they will waranty the bow

what size are the chains?

Where are the pack goats and pack llamas? I think when you hunt off of mules or horses you spend much more time taking care of your animals than looking for wild ones.

I must not be to smart... I shot the giraffe, put the crocodiles in the fridge, and rode the elephant across the river

OW, I have a question, who are the 1700 hunters who want to fight 1699 other hunters in 100 degree weather to have a 15% chance at taking an immature deer? Another question, who thinks that this would be enforceable when g$f guys never get out of thier truck? -

Wondering if anyone knows how many pts you had to have to get a tag in the max pt round for 10/18 archery lope last year. appreciate the info., I want to hunt antelope sooooo bad this year. Its been 9 years since I had my last archery tag (I was 14) but stupid me didn't have the money six years ago to apply so I just finally got my loyalty point

Larry Voyles named new director of Arizona Game and Fish Department
missedagain replied to cmc's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
It is impossible for anyone who really takes some time to study tag allocations in arizona over the last few years to take our g$f seriously. They have blatantly disregarded thier own policies to sell more tags, it makes me sick -
Isn't it 20% for max and 10% for non res? No, because the 10% is not set aside, it is an "up to 10%". That is how there can be no tags left over for non res. after the bonus pt drawing which is a set aside 20%. So only if all of the 20% max pt tags go to residents then non residents will be competing for residents for the lucky 80%. Hope that makes sense.

FALL 2007-JAN 2008 COUES BUCK CONTEST
missedagain replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Lots of great bucks hitting the dirt this year! Congratulations to everyone! -
20% of the tags for each hunt number are given to those with the max number of bonus points in an initial drawing. The 10% NR cap still applies. So that leaves 70% for all the lucky people. That would be 80% for all the lucky people.

Does anybody know where Mr. Voyles stands on any of the issues important to sportsmen? -
I won't be able to do a wyoming hunt this year , but hopefully sometime very soon Can you swing a Wyoming hunt? There a few areas that you can draw every year. AZ antelope is getting too tough to draw and is not near the quality of hunt it used to be- imho.
