Chiappa LA 322 .22LR Lever Action Take Down Rifle
Outdoor Writer replied to joohnnybgood's topic in Classified Ads
Another nice rifle. I believe these were Italian made as kind of a spinoff of the Marlin M39. -
Hard to tell for sure, but it appears to be the carbine with 20" barrel. They also made these in pairs with consecutive SNs.

Amen to that. My caption would be something like "don't shop for a dog after you've been drinking."
-
Has it been fired? Have the original boxes??

I already had one offer, but I'll be contemplating for a while. Obviously, I would go with the best offer, however. 😉

Actually could have been either "humanly TREATED veal" or "humanely TREATED veal." The first one would better describe a calf on a couch, of course.

This is the last correspondence I received: Dear Tony Mandile, This is in response to your inquiry regarding the delivery of a package. Please accept our sincere apology for any inconvenience this matter may have caused you. The Postal Service is aware of the frustration and disappointment caused when we do not live up to our commitment of safe and reliable mail service. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any movement on your package. The response we get from the last facility where your package had been scanned, is that they are experience massive delays due to the record high package volume received this year. And personal shortages do to COVID-19. Unfortunately, there isn’t much that can be done until your package receives its next scan. If you do not receive your package after thirty (30) days from its expected delivery date. You can file a claim through the Mail Recovery Center at USPS.com, under the HELP tab. An apology is no substitute for good service, but I want to offer one on behalf of the Postal Service. We appreciate your reporting this matter to us. It helps to know the kinds of difficulties our customers have so we can work toward improvements. The information you have provided will be shared with management as they continue their efforts to improve service performance in your area. Thank you for the opportunity to address this matter with you. If you have any questions, please contact me. I agree. It would be nice to get some of the money back. Just in draw fees, my points cost $250, plus I had added PG when it became available.
-
To clarify; You can use the BPs twice and or turn over the tag twice. BUT...you get your BPS back only on the first go-round and lose the cost of the tags on both.. IOW, you don't have to necessarily HUNT the 2nd time and can still give it to a charity org; you pay and no BPS again. The averaging deal is correct. If someone has 10 and use my 20 for elk, we would have 15 which would likely qualify for the bonus pass in a bunch of hunts.
-
Not bad. I'm waiting to post mine in case someone else is thinking along the same lines.
-
Still plenty of time for me to mull it over before the deadline. Maybe I'll just open up the bidding. 🤣
-
Put life back into this thread because I wanted to get this one posted....
-
I'm sitting on 20 elk and 17 pronghorn points but am no longer able to hunt. So now I have to decide whether I still want to continue buying BPs or just quit altogether, thus losing the loyalty point for each.

The reason I asked is because some eBay sellers sometimes procrastinate when it comes to getting something shipped in a timely manner. But yeah, even if shipped a week after you ordered them, two weeks for PM is ludicrous. The humorous thing is I buy some of my medications from an online pharmacy. They are shipped from India. I ordered some Dec. 2 and had them delivered to my door by USPS on Dec. 10. That time period included all the order processing, too.
-
That's the under statement of the day. 🤣 A friend who used to drive big rigs just told me he once had a USPS contract to transport mail from NJ to WI. On one trip he had exactly ONE bin with ONE envelope in the 53' trailer.
-
Were they actually shipped on 11/27, though??

I think he's a "rerun." Seems I recall him being considered when Sumlin was hired.

Win Pre 64 Model 70 264 Win Mag "SOLD"
Outdoor Writer replied to grapevinedave's topic in Classified Ads
I guess I missed this thread when it started. That is one beautiful M70. Someone needs to jump on this. I've owned the new model in .264 since 1965, though it no longer looks like the original. Mine has killed dozens of critters from javelina to moose. -
Please add Leo to the list!
-
Now that's one great smile. Well done lad.
