Levitt was the eastern version of John F. Long. He started Maryvale in 1955. We live in Maryvale Terrace, built by him in 1959. We purchased our house in 1980 when we returned from our 3-yr. stint in Colorado.

Appreciate that, but I'm quite sure I'm done. Heck just getting out of bed is a chore for me anymore after spending a month in the hospital and rehab joint earlier this year. Having to contend with oxygen 24/7 doesn't help either. I've collected a LOT of stuff over the years and probably don't have a whole bunch of time to sell it all. Let's just say if life is worth a dollar, I've already used up 98 cents worth. 🤣

SOLD -- Custom Lynn Maxfield Hunting Knife
Outdoor Writer replied to Outdoor Writer's topic in Classified Ads
You got it. It's a steal at that price. 😉 I first met Lynn at Buck's Camp, which is located at River's Inlet, BC. After, I sometimes stopped to visit them when I headed north somewhere. Good people.- 3 replies

SOLD Lynn Maxfield, a good friend and noted knifemaker from Layton Utah, made this knife that I designed. It's a 4" drop-point of 440-C steel with a 59 Rockwell rating and has a balbinga wood handle with a brass guard, butt plate and decorative inserts. It has "Tony" lightly stamped in the butt plate, which should polish out fairly easy. Although I've carried it around in a pack on occasion, it's never been used for cutting or sharpened other than the original edge. IOW, it's new. The heavy leather sheath is formed to grip the knife tightly. It had a lifetime warranty (I have the paperwork) but Lynn died at age 85 in 2016. Now, it's also somewhat of a collector's item. $250 I will consider reasonable offers but no trades. Payment via PayPal (buyer doesn't need an acct; just a CC or checking acct.) or cash only. Picked up near 67th Ave. and Camelback or shipped at buyer's expense.

Yeah, I probably under priced them quite a bit. Just looking to clear stuff out since my hunting and fishing days are done, especially any on horseback.😉

Dan, Right now the only item not spoken for -- sort of -- is the short slicker. But it's a maybe for Edge until I dig it out to see the size. So hang loose a bit. Spurs are gone, tho.

See above & my PM to you.

I think both are small but they might be med. I'll need to check. I'm having some AC problems right now, so hang loose a bit until I get the time and energy to dig them out for photos. But consider them yours for now.

Both slickers?

My aunt had a house on Pulaski Rd. in E. Northport. I lived in northern NJ but spent many weekends at my aunt's in my early teen years. We also fished from a 14' rowboat with a small kicker on it. We often hung out at Crab Meadow Beach and did some crabbing and eeling off a bridge somewhere near Huntington. I learned to drive out there on her large semi-circular driveway when I was about 12. There was a huge potato farm directly across the road. After they did the mechanical harvest, we could still gather bushels of them.

Yes. You need to provide proof. Go back in the thread and read one of my other replies.

We called them blowfish. Caught them in LI Sound when fishing for porgies and flounders. We tossed the blowfish back, tho. Never ate any.

Right, it's a hypothetical, but I'm guessing he's talking about the archery season AFTER the draw (Aug.), however and not Jan.

This part just might keep me from trying them for dinner.

If he already killed a deer on the OTC, it makes no difference; he's DONE killing deer for the year. So his choices are eat the tag with no hunting or PG, thus no points or turn it in and get his points back.
-
Might be. I wonder if that fish ever saw the sun, tho. 😎
-
Yup. He can do that too using the same form. It just has to be an approved organization with verification. A person who donates, or transfers, his or her hunt permit-tag to a qualified nonprofit organization, also can participate in tag surrender, provided the requirements listed above are fulfilled. An acceptable proof of the transfer must be provided to the department (a receipt from the qualified nonprofit organization, for example). The tag surrender application form and an acceptable proof of the hunt permit-tag being donated must be completed within 60 days of the donation, and no less than 30 days before the next application deadline for that particular species. From the form Was this tag donated to a non-profit organization? Yes No (If Yes, please also provide the “Hunt Permit-Tag Donation Affidavit” - Form 132.)
-
You can DL the form online and simply mail it and the permit to the AGFD office to get your points back.

I have several in different camo patterns in the right size for him. It's simply a matter of digging them out from the recesses of my hunting clothing closet.
-
I believe they are a size 9.

I definitely have a pair of pac like this that should fit you. They have two sets of removable liners. one being thinsulate.

Pretty incredible what a dumb fish can do, eh? It's amazing how symmetrical his creation is.

Gotcha. We'll get together before than.
