In many cases, the small changes by the AGFD are benefits because they are preemptive strikes to avoid much greater impact from voter-approved propositions that are virtually impossible to reverse and usually throw out the baby with the bathwater. See my other reply about bear baiting.
-
The removal of bear baiting was a very smart move by AGFD. I know for FACT why it was done, and if it hadn't been done as preemptive rule, it's likely there would be NO spring bear hunting as happened in Colorado via a voter proposition.

Not sure what the regular price is but Sprouts had the Alaskan sea scallops on sale a couple weeks ago for less than $15 per lb. We bought 2 lbs. and they were excellent. Also, you might give Lam's a call. Not sure they carry the Alaskan ones, but it's worth a try. Costco also has them, but they're about $20 there.

Suggestion: Don't buy it.

Restrictions on hunting over water and trail camera use.
Outdoor Writer replied to azhunter23's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Yup. There is no provision for private property in that regards. But better than the capitol building, go do it in Thorpe's yard. -
Aaaha. I posted my speculation of such in the other thread.

Restrictions on hunting over water and trail camera use.
Outdoor Writer replied to azhunter23's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I just sent the following: Mr. Thorpe, As written, it appears HB2031 would eliminate all hunting, including waterfowl, within 100 yds. of nearly every lake in the state since they are all "man-made." And if someone owns a house or cabin within a 100 yds. of a lake or other man-made watering "facility," they won't be able to field dress doves, quail, etc. at home. Although HB2030 isn't near as bad, it contains ambiguous and vague language such as "...or alters the manner in which wildlife accesses a water source." What is the normal "manner" in the way wildlife accesses a water source? Tony Mandile Glendale, AZ -

Just speculating here, but given the two bills he put forth would affect activity around water holes/stock tanks, it's possible a few ranchers got Thorpe's ear. 🤷♂️ -
Mucho better, Amanda. Thanks. Suggestion to anyone still having issues: clear your browser cache and history.
-
Site was down completely early this morning, and I made Amanda aware of it on FB. She contacted the tech team to get it fixed. Now, everything including the profile stuff seems to be working properly. If anyone still finds a goof up, please post it to this thread.
-
I'm guessing that when Stanley fixed the other problem with the pages not loading at all (500 ERROR), somehow the database with all the profiles became missing in action and has to be reloaded or turned on somehow.
-
Yup. That's what I'm getting as well.
-
Okay, good. Right now, anything to do with profiles appears broke. That's what I discussed with Amanda early this morning on Facebook. So she knows about it, but she's really busy today with a volunteer affair and will likely not get to checking until later tonight.
-
Obviously, you can post. So is the profile deal the ONLY issue right now?
-
Can you access anyone's and your own profile?
-
On what click?
-
Amanda is aware of any ongoing issues, especially with profiles. Log in and message posting should be OK now, though. Are you still having issues with that?
-
I saw a pigeon in the front yard a bit ago if that helps.
-
Hit a nerve, eh? I checked and found that a kumquat is a fruit, so that seems to fit, too. Probably a drag queen who was home schooled by your pet goldfish.

AGFD -- WILDLIFE NEWS -- Jan.10, 2020
Outdoor Writer posted a topic in News from Arizona Game and Fish Dept.
WILDLIFE NEWS Jan. 10, 2020 Arizona's waterfowl, quail seasons flying by There’s still time for Arizona hunters to take aim at some of the best wing-shooting opportunities the state has to offer — but the clock is ticking. The general waterfowl season in the “Mountain Zone” (Game Management Units 1-5, 7, 9, 11M, 12A, and those portions of Units 6 and 8 within Coconino County) runs through Sunday, Jan. 12. Quail hunters have until Sunday, Feb. 9, to get out and chase the state’s three main species — Gambel’s, scaled and Mearns’. The "a" is correct because it's a hard (consonant) "f" in "f'n" Only words that begin with a vowel sound use "an," such as "an only child." Also, it's not a conjunction; it's known as AN indefinite article or determiner. The conjunction is "and" as in Jack and Jill went...

I wouldn't go quite that far. Besides, I'd be afraid to get too close for fear of catching an STD.

It's "You're" not "Your." About 60 years ago, a female English lit professor told our class that anyone who can't articulate his or her thoughts in conversation or writing without using some form of the F-word likely has the social skills and intelligence of a kumquat. At the time, I laughed along with the rest of the class even though I had no idea what a kumquat was, much less if it could talk or write. Still, I never followed up on it to find out. So now...after reading your messages on here for a few months, I'm wondering; if I look up "kumquat' in the dictionary, will your photo be there along with the definition?
