I wish I could go back to 64, Bob. Although my breathing wasn't top notch, the rest of me was still in good shape back then. Now everything aches. -

We're in trouble....

Sorry to hear that. Truly good friends are hard to acquire. I have days when I feel like packing it in, but so far I've been able to outwit those demons.

My "friendship" is now open to bids. 🤣 -
Yeah, I think the embassy takeover was done because Carter let the Shah come to the U.S. It's gone downhill ever since.
-
Right, and maybe a year or more from now....🤣 I do remember the botched rescue attempt. Quite a few Americans went down in a helicopter, so the mission was aborted.
-
I'm tired of wasting my time toying with you.
-
The size of the debris field sure makes it appear like it exploded in mid-air. Even if it did, the cause is unknown at this point. I doubt the Canadians would take on Iran unless they challenged them to a hockey match. 🤣
-
Nope, wrong again because you can't understand what you read. FOX never cited a cause. What they said in the article was: "Qassem Biniaz, a spokesman for Iran's Road and Transportation Ministry, said one of the plane's engines caught fire, causing the pilot to lose control of the aircraft. It also appeared the pilot couldn't communicate with air-traffic controllers in Tehran in the last moments of the flight, added Hassan Razaeifar, the head of Iran's air crash investigation committee."
-
No, but good try. Your comment was a snide remark aimed at me because you ASSumed I wasn't going along with your conspiracy theory about it being shot down. You really should tangle with someone who is dumber than you, though you might have a hard time finding anyone that fits that description. Now go play in your sandbox and let grown-ups in the room have an adult discussion.
-
Mad? Geez, I was actually laughing at how inept you are with your reading comprehension.
-
"The nationalities of those dead, according to Ukraine Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko, were as follows: 82 Iranians, 63 Canadians, and 11 Ukrainians -- nine of which were crew members -- 10 Swedes, four Afghan, three German and three British."
-
Hey a$$hat. You need to start reading closer. I NEVER stated WHY it crashed. I cited when and where, period.
-
The missile launch occurred many hours before. In fact, I had ben watching FOX for two hours AFTER the launch took place before they provided the info on the plane crash. It was only a few miles from the airport and not very high when it plunged down.

Not sure what I'll do since I've basically quit hunting. I've bought BPs the last couple years and before that I was applying for only the early rifle elk season as both 1st & 2nd choice. -
Every news agency in the world except CWT.

I've got 19 for elk and 18 for pronghorn. -
It crashed on TAKEOFF from the Tehran airport.

Nice! 👍

That's a good price for solid oak. I would scoop it up in a minute if I needed one. Good luck with the sale.

Santa's gonna get pissed if you start killing his elves. 🤣

That he was. He used to shoot in the metallic silhouette matches regularly. I did it for one season but hated to drive there so I quit. I don't think I knew Hood or Dunlap, or at least the names aren't familiar. Is Jensen still alive?
-
I don't have a clue where he wound up. The mauser alteration was the only thing he did for me, and I think he was already gone when I was in the gun wholesale business from 1973-1975. I also did a lot of business with Gilbert Ronstadt, Linda's daddy, at Ronstadt's Hardware in Tucson. Jensen's was another big shop there that I sold to on a regular basis.
