The guy that she showed her boobs to and gave her the wine for that privilege must have thought the same.

I agree that there should be some sort of "shopping cart" set up for multile apps so only one charge is necessary at checkout.

Bingo! I've had a portal acct. for a long time. Having my info stored and the Dashboard feature is quite nice. Took me about 8 mins. with minimal typing & clicks to apply and pay for an antelope BP a while ago.

Close encounter with an F-22 fighter jet
Outdoor Writer replied to bigbuckfever's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I did an archery elk hunt in SE Colorado with astronaut Joe Engle and his son, Jon, who was an USAF captain at the time. In front of the fireplace after dinner each night, both them told tales of some of their flying exploits. At some point during his tours of duty in the Mideast, Jon flew an A10 Warthog. I was sort of stunned when he told us that each 30mm round for the gatling-like canon cost about $150 per and the magazine full held about 1,400 rounds that could be emptied in a minute at the fastest rate of fire. Practice could get way expensive at that rate. 😲 I don't wanna hear you guys complaining about ammo prices anymore. -
Pouring buckets and blowing up a storm near 67th Ave. & Camelback right now.

Never been on the Kitty Hawk but have seen a lot of the "Wright Stuff" when I attended the U. of Dayton. I even dated a gal whose dad was stationed at WPAF base. -

I believe you're referring to Falcon Dunes, which is different than Falcon. FD, located on Northern Ave., is private for Luke personnel & guests only; Falcon, located on Camelback and now closed, was public. -
Oh geez. I did click the photo but failed to see the scroll arrows. 🙄 Thanks, Stanley. P.S. Looks like a long way to go for rossislider to get to the top. ☹️

When my wife was still working a few decades back, one of her co-workers and family were driving in a van at night on SR89 Utah. They hit an elk, and it came through the windshield. An antler tine pierced the head of the gal's husband who was driving. The van crashed, seriously injuring the others in the vehicle, and the guy was dead on the scene. When my oldest son lived in Colorado for a time in the 1980s, he hit a mule deer doe in his Nissan PU at about 50 mph. It did just under $5,000 in damage. That would likely translate to about $12,000 in today's dollars. 🤣

Close encounter with an F-22 fighter jet
Outdoor Writer replied to bigbuckfever's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Before I quit playing golf, my regular Tues round was with the men's club at Falcon Golf Course, which was right next to Luke about where I had dove hunted 50+ years earlier. About 8 a.m. the jets would begin launching in pairs, and that would continue for at least 15-20 mins. It wasn't quite as loud as having them fly directly overhead, but it made communicating difficult for a while. -
It's a look of terror. 😉

Close encounter with an F-22 fighter jet

I've had them fly over a couple times while I was fishing on Lake Pleasant, but they were usually a few hundred yards up. Still, the roar of the engines rattled my guts. My granddad and I hunted doves a lot in the 1960s right near the east side of Luke. Almost every morning about the same time, the jets would begin taking off. One morning we saw one lift off and then it suddenly went quiet. A second later the canopy went skyward and the pilot followed it, only a couple hundred feet off the deck. The jet kept climbing for a bit, tho, and finally crashed in a huge fireball somewhere in the desert near Van Buren. We could easily see the smoke from where we were. Later read in the newspaper that the pilot broke a leg when he landed because his chute hadn't fully deployed. -
I did that too with three kids & my wife -- all in different classes. But I took the test only once for the class my oldest son took. I probably had the most sophisticated class as an instructor because I used about 400 35mm slides during the course, many of which I created specifically for HE. Thus, the chielf instructor I worked with always had me teach the adults when we broke it down by age groups in Phx. In Colorado, my classes consisted of all ages, which was sort of a challenge in that I had to keep both kids and adults from getting bored and/or not understanding what I was saying.

Thus the handle, "knothead," huh? 🤣
