This can be a tough hunt. I have been on it the last 5 years. This year is the first time I will have a tag in my pocket. We have killed several bulls within 500yds of the major roads. Learn where to look. Most hunters drive right by them.

Maybe we can create a "safe space" forum where we censor out anything that might offend someone. I bet it would be full of content. When I look at youtube I don't click on "shirtless men playing volley ball", because I don't want to see that. I don't tell youtube to censor it.

I saw a .200gr ELD-X out of a 30-378 blow up on an elk spine and not penetrate at all. Same gun and bullet did the same thing on a high shoulder shot. Both were under 150yds.

I use to really like the meat eater guys, but they are getting way too political. The gritty Bowman is another good podcast.

The wife and I had the same trailer and loved it. I towed it with a jeep liberty and it did fine even on the big hills. Our families outgrew these or we would have kept them. I sold mine last yer for 12k and it had seen a lot more use. This one probably has been slept in fewer than 30 nights. Posting for my sister. We didn't have a lot of hope this year due to my wife tearing her mcl and ACL 2 weeks before the hunt. After a miss on the first stand, we regrouped and moved about 500yds up the mountain. The box call brought this guy in strutting. He paused at 65yds and she let him have it. We were done before 630am.

It was an awesome morning. We had lots of birds talking even after they hit the ground.

one morning while leaving for work about 4am, I picked up my tipped over trash can and found one trapped inside. I not sure who was more startled. I didn't need coffee that morning, I was wide awake.
