  1. My neighbors bought one during the covid nonsense. They went crazy and did an entire cow, chicken, more eggs than you could count, and every candy you can imagine. Seems like there is a trick to doing meat but they have it down pretty good. They have more food stored than I think they will ever use.

I agree. 2nd and 3rd place though are probably 2a and 2b. A predator coming to hand calls is a rush.

Hard to beat a hard charging triple when you have a 12ga in your hands!

Yet they ask for volunteers to haul water in the summer to the trick tanks? Yeah that money is being spent wisely

No they ask for money. I asked for a letter last year so I could use a work volunteer day and haul water with my truck and trailer. They said they would rather I donate money. Way better off to donate to Wildlife Waterworks Dan does great work and all the money is used for wildlife.

M7 = Rem 700?  If that is the case I can see where this might be workable.  Rem 700 takeoffs I have there isn’t enough material to work with along forearm. Appreciate any further suggestions 👍🏼

I used a short action bell and Carlson stock. I had to use some epoxy but I don't remember it being to hard.

Does anyone have a donor stock for a Rem 600 / 660 they care to part with?  Looking for one I can open up barrel channel a bit. Thx!  (Old guy here - hope this posts to the right place!)

With a little work you can make a short action m7 stock work. I did that for my wife's gun

Lots of buzzworms in that unit.  A buddy of mine encountered 13 (he kept count) while on hands and knees during his archery lope hunt.  Pay attention!

I didn't count but I bet I was north of 30 for the summer.  Only one we killed was 6'1 without the head

  7. Congrats! I had this tag in 2013 I think. At the time I lived in Cordes Jct and I was able to scout every weekend except 3 between the draw and the hunt. It was a fun hunt but the top 3 bucks I had picked out were all dead by 9am opening morning. I saw 3 bucks killed opening morning by a family that had 4 tags in camp. All 3 were hardly above their ears. I was glad when they cut the tags and hopefully the herd has recovered since then. I ended up with a mid 70's buck the 2nd day that I had watched in the junipers all summer. Don't overlook some of the thicker areas. I found them in places you wouldn't think they would be. This year that was my 2nd choice hunt just because of the low tag numbers. Have fun!

It's not the out of staters, it's the adult onset resident hunters, that listened to a couple of joe Rogan podcast or watched randy Newberg.   I saw 30+ trucks and it wasn't because of this thread.

I know all those trucks aren't because of this thread but... Several years back I asked for tips for the youth doe hunt in 12aw from some guys that had been up there on the early hunt. One of them posted an exact spot where they were glassing from and seeing deer everyday. On the way to the spot I saw some papers in the middle of the road so I stopped and picked them up. It was a print out of the thread where I had asked about where to hunt. Long story short we met 2 other groups that were hunting that spot because of what was posted. I think guides posting all the pics online is probably the most to blame.

I have an sig cross in 6.5 creedmoor it has a helix 6 18” carbon barrel 5/8x24 threaded and a vortex diamondback tactical 4-16x44 ffp moa on it weighs 8.5lbs roughly scoped 5 rd mag. I have it listed for 2k with everything but I’m negotiable if it helps get a kid out hunting. Has less than 100 rounds down the barrel.
