    2012 Tacoma 2WD 4D

2012 Tacoma 2WD 4D 220k mi $8,500. I have had it since 2020ish. Bought it with ~110k miles on it. Selling it because we needed something bigger for the family. Located in Chandler The good: Gas tank is half full Meticulous maintenance. All 200k items completed. Full synthetic mobil 1 and Toyota oil filter change every 5k mi. Clean, non smoking Bad: Burns ~1qt of oil every 5k. I noticed one of the spark plugs was oily when changed at 200k. Previous owner had the hood and roof vinyl wrapped to cover fading paint. I should have peeled it off, but was lazy and let it sun rot. Now its probably stuck on there forever.

Waterfowl fun over Christmas break and a ? on ammo

Awesome! Keep it up For most circumstances over decoys I have settled on Kent 2.75" #4 out of a skeet or IC choke. Jump shooting would be better with a IC or modified choke. These have worked for teal to geese. If using the 20ga, and don't mind pricy shells, I would find some #5 or 6 bismuths. Before the switch to non toxic for waterfowl, smaller shot sizes were the norm. So don't be scared to go smaller if using a metal heavier than steel. Obviously this has been beat to death on the waterfowl forums and YouTube so you might check there.

    BFT Crudo https://honest-food.net/tuna-crudo-recipe/
  21. Hoping to get into some tuna on a 1.5 day trip with some freinds. We are looking at the "Jig Strike" 1.5 day in early July. It has a 12 person max. Has anyone fished on this boat before? It will be our first time out and want to make sure we pick a good one. Just trying to figure out if they catch fish. Will report back if we go. Thanks!
  22. We ended up switching to the Aztec at the last minute. 1.5 day on July 1st. Made a few stops in the middle of the night and two tuna were caught on knife jigs. ~50lbs and 80lbs. Day bite was great and had our bft limit by 11am. Mostly fly lining sardines on light tackle ~ 25lb leaders. All these fish were in the 25-35lb range. The captain said we had enough time to make a run to San Clemente for “limits of calico bass a chance at yellowtail, and then fish for white sea bass after dark until midnight”. We got there around 5pm and parked next to some kelp. Around a dozen calico were quickly caught. Instead of moving, we continued to sit there until 9:30pm feeding our bait to sea lions. Then they packed up and headed for San Diego at idle speed to kill time. I’m not sure why they would take the time and expense to drive all the way to San Clemente and then not put any effort into catching fish. Overall I thought the captain and crew were good. I caught my 2 bft limit on my first trip out so no complaints! The sashimi has been amazing!
