I have them, they have worked very well for me for two years now. I'm fine with not having the best. The value proposition for the good knockoffs is too high to ignore these days. If you can get 90% of the quality, which is what I feel I am getting, for literally 25% of the cost ($450/$1800), then I'm a buyer. The value would be equivalent to buying swaros for $500 (90% / $450)... I'll probably get some good comments on that, but as a business school guy, CPA ,and company president, I can't not think that way even when talking hunting costs...

Jay Scott and his guests tend to think the only reason they are quieter during the day during large moons is because they stay up partying all night. You can get up a few hours before light and hear/locate them and be within striking distance when it gets light, so they say. Last year the only thing I noticed was a very strong correlation between the temperature and the rut activity where I was hunting. The coolest three days in the middle of the hunt were the best three days.

Cabelas got hit for September bull elk(call and talk to a person for most recent pending charges).

This is a little scary, an actual quote from the azgfd website article: "Meanwhile, the random draw process remains on schedule and should be completed by mid-April."

Can anyone quantify the advantage of 50mm vs 40mm objective

They go into this discussion at great length with the Vortex guys and the Meat Eater crew in this podcast, you'll learn all you need to know and some you didn't: http://www.themeateater.com/podcasts/podcastepisode009/ -
All the sheep over here got that coughing sickness in the herd and they don't know what the mortality will be. They claim it can be very high in some cases. They could have no hunt at all.

Unit 9 December rut rifle hunt. 5 more tags for 13b rifle. 5 less tags for 13a archery. They are still assessing the 15s sheep situation.

I called in this bull for a friend and filmed it with my iphone. The cow calls you hear are his cows he left to come find me. He is spooked by my buddy who was about 7 yards away from him when he spooked. I told him, as soon as you see him through the trees or hear walking, be pulled back and ready, well, both of the cues happened, and he didn't do the most important part of the sequence , ie, pull back your bow. Oh well! What do you think this bull scores? https://youtu.be/2Qtx5TJNCAw

Hopefully there is a way it can be worked out and everyone can play nice. Maybe the 2016 tag holder could help you out?
-
It does say "Hunt permit tags and refund warrants mailed out by April 22nd 2016" anything before that is just a bonus to us. We don't like that line of reasoning around here. Take that back down to Tucson. jk. But you are right. The precedent of normally knowing early kills us.

If "something went wrong in the system, they are working on it" is our current status, we could be in for a long wait similar to some of the "problem" drawings in the past.

I don't think they have ever started the credit cards hits on a weekend have they? They have said in the past they were going to stop doing the courtesy credit card calls, but they have continued to do them. It got my wife a tag a couple years ago because of a CC charge failure from the Target CC debacle.

Congratulations. UofA treated me very well during grad school. May they make it back to the sweet 16 this year as well...

I would not have participated in that party.

Ted Cruz wants feds to dump all puclic land

Trump is just so abrasive, proud, offensive and easily offended. I just don't see strong positive qualities in him that I would want in a POTUS. -
Ted Cruz wants feds to dump all puclic land

Selling all the public lands is asinine and would ruin the west. Reorganize, sure, lets talk about it. Make it all private? scary. He would have an impossible amount of push back from Dems and half the republicans, so I don't see that type of initiative ever being successful. Despite that bad idea, I think Cruz is the best remaining candidate. -
The bad units have leftovers, similar to AZ.

Due to El Nino not arriving in Arizona, they will not be shedding this year.

Wolf news hits close to home
Sneaker replied to MULEPACKHUNTER's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Here’s a quote from a cowboy that sums it up: “There’s not a cowboy in this room that couldn’t qualify for disability. We want to work. You’re making us dependent upon the federal government for compensation. Our best direction to make a living is now in the form of compensation from the federal government. At the end of the day the only way money is generated is harvest the animal you grow. You’re choppin’ the legs out from under us. If we could make a living with wolves, there would still be wolves here. Not just cattle…elk and deer bring in money to the economy. But the wolf doesn’t contribute. Saddens me we’re being made wards of the government. Like going on welfare. The whole process saddens me. I don’t want welfare, I just want to make a living. But, what choice do I have?” -
The story just keeps getting better and better. Boquillas website has taken down the prior notice and table, but the rules page still references the $500 fees and restrictions.

Like I said, resident with LESS than max are worse off: 20% of the tags are still gone to max point guys, but now, instead of the residents with less than max having ALL of the remaining 80% tags to themselves, now they have the non residents that have a chance at taking up to 5% of those remaining 80%. So now, residents with less than max will almost always get less than 80% of tags, sometimes they will only get 75% of tags, when before they always got at least 80% of tags. Follow?
-
It makes things slightly worse for residents with less than max points for individual hunts as well.

J-rod, where did you get that update? Wow that is interesting. Maybe the Lessee has over-stepped their bounds. AZGFD sounds like they were blindsided by this news, and are indicating that they don't think NN is in agreement. Quite bizarre considering most people have already made application decisions.
