With record winter rains, heavy grasses and brush within the wilderness, it was pretty obvious what was gonna happen. When that fire started at the Woodbury Trailhead, I made a statement on Twitter that they’ll never get a handle on this fire and that it’ll burn all the way to Apache and Canyon lakes. I might right!

Been wearing Natural Gear forever. The tans and browns blend in well here in Arizona. And it's easy on the wallet.

Well, to the guys putting in for 13B, I have some good news. I’ll be out of the pool this year! Unfortunately, work schedule is booked for the entire hunt, management says no go even if I’m lucky to pull a tag. So you 13B guys have one less guy to compete against! Had to go with a bonus point only this year. Work sucks! Man, can wait till I’m retired! At least I have OTC. I’ll have 16 points next year.

Yeah, no really good place on the east side. Too many recreational conflicts nearby. A lot of that land is State Trust too. Add a growing retirement population in and around Gold Canyon, doubt it’ll fly.

I believe the one NW of Superior is the Woodbury fire.

I have the Dakotas. 2 years and still holding strong. They are light with strong ankle support. Pretty stiff sole too. I did switch out the insoles.

Good article! What's the old saying? Closing the barn door after the horses have left? In this case, literally. Even the Salt River herd is getting worse. Heading north yesterday, I saw them about a mile or so NORTH of the Bush Highway turnoff. First time I've seen them there. They were grazing on the west side of SR87. Appears they're expanding their range north towards Sycamore creek. Between the horses and burros, the blame falls completely with the Forest Service and BLM.

You and I have the same number of points. No worries tho. You have one less guy competing against you for that 12B tag......its 13B or bust for me!

There was a thread on Bowsite back in 2018 from a guy that got bit from a timber rattler. He detailed his entire ordeal, complete with pics. Real eye opener that makes you think how you’d handle the situation. $300,000 hospital bill!

Up 10 feet since the start of the February. Should keep going up into Spring!
