Pac 12 Officials admit missing technical foul call at end of game... Arizona would have still needed to make those technical foul free throws... http://azstarnet.com/sports/blogs/pascoe/arizona-wildcats-basketball-pac--admits-blown-call-in-ua/article_c2a8cd82-97f9-11e3-8ccf-0019bb2963f4.html

Does anyone have any information on deer or elk getting stuck in shed traps and dying? I know guys in Texas and Missouri that put shed traps out every year and have never had a buck get stuck. I searched the internet looking for articles on this and there were none that I could find. I would venture to guess that most deer that die getting their antlers stuck are stuck in barbed wire fences.

You do realize ASU is unranked right? That is even more embarrassing. You do realize the Texas Tech wasn't ranked either? Embarrassing... Texas Tech 37 - ASU 23 (Since Rosislider brought up football again)

Wildcats baseball team did win their opening day game today 13-1 Sundevils baseball lost their opening day game today 7-9

This is valid point...

The game should have finished with Wildcats shooting 4 free throws for the technicals and then get the ball back... You can't hang on the rim... And fans can't rush the court during the game...
-
Congrats to the devils... The Wildcats could lose every one of there remaining game this year and still get a higher NCAA seed than ASU...

I have seen better free throw shooting at the school for the blind.

Last I checked, hunting with a spear in AZ is illegal! And new technology? Shed traps have been around for decades, never hear of mass animals perishing in the traps... http://www.huntingclub.com/rack-trap-shed-antler-hunting-made-easy/

Predator, does this hold up as well as getting it done professionally?

I don't fault them for trying, but in their initial report on the Pusch Ridge area, it had the highest lion concentrations of all of the proposed sites. I do fault them for NOT addressing the predator population before the reintroduction began. It is only common sense to realize the lions would have a field day. And this after the big lion controversy a few years ago in Sabino Canyon. The department should have known this would turn into a big public relations nightmare with the liberal AZ Star reporting on it daily. I just wonder at what point the department will walk away from this reintroduction? If more than 50% of the sheep are eaten? Or if all of them are eventually eaten? Or do they just keep reintroducing(feeding the lions). Right now we are are at 30% of the sheep dead! and this after only 3 months. At this pace, we will reach the 50% mortality rate by the beginning of April. I'm glad I'm not in G&Fs shoes. Tough decisions ahead.

Price would be nice...

Wow, this is an amazing challenge to all of us hunters. Just imagine if every hunter did this just one time, we would double our numbers. I'm going to try and do this too

How big is it?

Now we know why they didn't want to release the information, 8 dead sheep. http://azstarnet.com/news/local/of-bighorns-released-north-of-tucson-have-died/article_98b347ca-853c-11e3-b40f-0019bb2963f4.html 1/23/13 More bighorn sheep have died in a controversial program to reintroduce them into the Catalina Mountains. The bighorn sheep were released in the area on Nov. 18. Arizona Game and Fish Department officials said today that seven of the sheep were killed by mountain lions and one might have died from stress. Officials originally reported five bighorn sheep deaths. The bighorn sheep reintroduction program was created to help restore the herd and the ecosystem. It has received some criticism since officials have killed some of the mountain lions responsible for attacking the sheep. No mountain lions have been killed in connection to the last three attacks; two mountain lions were killed in other cases. The Bighorn Sheep Advisory Committee wants to stress not every mountain lion that attacks a sheep will be killed; it's on a case by case basis and only if they can be sure the mountain lion has been identified.
