    Marcy's NM Success

Ok, if you insist... We green scored him at 104 1/8" He ended up being very symetrical so the deductions will be little. Thanks for all the comments and votes. Ray, tell Candi I said hi and hope to see you guys at the first leg of the triple crown. Marcy
  5. What an awesome hunt with my husband and my son! We saw so many deer and passed on several bucks. When we saw this one, we really didn't know how big he was, but we knew he was a shooter. We bumped him on day one and could only locate his buddy that was with him, so we decided to back out that evening. We knew he would be in the same area the next morning, so we went right back in where we had seen him and started glassing. We went in slowly, glassing as we went, and ended up on the same ridge we were the night before. We quickly found the buddy that had been with him, but still could not locate the shooter. We even spotted a small forked horn bedded nearby. The buddy (a small 3x3) was bedded in a spot that soon would have sun on it, so we planned to wait for him to get up and move. We were hoping this would instigate the big buck to get up and move as well, as we still could not see him. After about an hour of watching them, suddenly, the shooter stood up. We were still 400 yards away. I shot and did not make a lethal shot, but he was now anchored. My shot was a little bit to the right. We snuck closer and had to try several different angles to get another shot on him, as he was bedded under brush at a challenging angle. Finally, we found a spot at 257 yards and I rolled him in his bed. We have green scored him already. What's your guess? I am also up for Extreme Huntress for 2009. If you haven't voted and would like to support me, please visit www.tahoefilms.com and click vote now in the Extreme Huntress Contest. It only takes a minute. I am still way behind on votes and I am one of the very few blue collared hunters, just like you, that made the cut. Thanks, Marcy

Would you mind E-mailing me the name of the place in Safford that you are refering to. I own Gila Outdoor In Safford and We are a Vortex dealer. Right now we have the full line of Vortex binoculars including spotting scopes. The 15x are on their way. I heard rumor that Gila outdoor was moving to he old Walmart in Thatcher and opening an indoor archery range. is this true? We are looking at several options in order to expand our services. An indoor range for 3D / league shoots as well as the virtual shoots is in our plans.

  20. Well my second oldest son Kade is defintely on a roll this year. He will be seventeen the end of Sept and so far this year has harvested his Javelina with his bow, Turkey with shotgun, and just a couple of weeks ago he harvested a New Mexico Antelope with his bow. Spot and stalk no less. To top this off he has two more deer tags to go. One in the burros and one in Arizona. Here is a picture of his New Mexico Antelope.

    Kade Is On a Roll

That would be him. Both of his brothers (18 and 8) have that same love of the outdoors. I don't think it gets much better then having hunting buddies like them.

    2006-2007 Burro mountain archery buck

Not to disappoint those of you that think this buck was photo shopped, but its the real McCoy. This buck gross scores 117 2/8. he was harvested with bow and arrow and it was all caught on film. As far as the pose, their is nothing holding that bucks head up, we plan on doing some "How To" segments in our videos and "posing your game animal" will be one of them. Congratulations to Roger Roan on a once in a lifetime Coues buck.
  23. A big Happy Birthday to you Scott. You should have went with me shed hunting instead of working on the property. I hear you on the running, if we don't stay with it we won't keep up with the boys. RHarris
