Here's a picture of the custom 338 lapua build I just had finished. Makes my buddy look small holding it. Love this caliber for the long range shots. It would definitely be a hard one to beat.

What action did you end you using? I'm using a Stiller TAC338 action, Krieger #10MTU barrel, American precision arms muzzle brake, Mcmillian A5 stock, Seekins extended box magazine, Jewell trigger, Seekins rings, stiller 20MOA base, and nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56 NPR1 scope.

I've got a full custom .338 lapua being built right now. Should be done and picking it up tomorrow. Thats another one that is the baddest of the bad for a custom rig but it will destroy your wallet. Ill post pictures if I pick it up tomorrow

Another great one for a custom rig that is extremely accurate and will reach out and touch something is the 6XC. David Tubb knew what he was doing when he developed it. Really reasonable to load for and an all around bad a$$ shooter!

That's one bad varmint rifle right there. I used to have one and man did it do a number on a lot of prairie dogs and yotes! Good luck on the sale!

350 bull in 5BN is doable. I've seen some dandy bulls. My dad took a 389 bull gross (377 net) out of there years ago. I killed a 330 bull in there 3 years ago and we hunted 2-3 bulls that were solid 350-360ish on that hunt just couldn't get it done on them. My family has 3 early archery bull tags and 2 cow tags in 5BN this year. Set your standards and stick to them you will be able to find a good bull there. Good luck to your wife and son!

100% agreed, and everyone that is so worried about offending people need to wake up. If someone doesn't agree with what someone else thinks/believes tough S**t... You can't tip toe around through life because someone might get offended. Do what you got to do say what you have to say...

I'd love to run into both of this POS on the street. If I was driving I'd purposely run them over in a cross walk and if I was on foot I'd definitely put them to sleep for a nice little dirt nap... The lake makes you do some weird things

IMO these were the two best looking guys on the lake this weekend.... They shot bad this weekend but sure do know how to party.

He would look good with my 60 yard pin aimed right behind that front shoulder! Definitely a shooter with this New Years growth.

Trying to get drawn... That would be a new thing for my family buddies and myself.

I was hoping last year would be the 1st and only year to eliminate the archery tags for december 34a but again this year it's in effect again... Lets flood the unit with 2700 rifle tags but cut the bow hunters out. It's a shame that when archery success rate hits 20+ percent they cut us out of the mix and just bump rifle tags up for more revenue... Proves the point rifle hunters get preference because of revenue... Sure would be nice to be the little guy in the game and at least have a punchers chance... They don't care about the common man just the money.... G&F for all I care can eat my D*$!
