Card just got hit for two elk tags. Now the agony of waiting to see it'd it's me and my partners bull tags or my sister and buddy's girlfriend cow tags. My step dad and mom got archery bull tags as well. Starting the year off right.

BowfishAZ and HUNTAZ I thought we were supposed to be shooting bass?! It's "BILL LUKE BASS DAYS" wasn't it? That's were we went wrong... I couldn't believe a 5.68 lb paid 10,000$... I had a solid 9lb avrage on bass. They were all shot in the lips though... I made sure we pinpointed the lips for catch and release purposes ... Good shootin boys its a shame they definitely jammed everyone on payout especially you guys. Can't wait to mudd wrestle you two on the 6the and 7th of April for 9oz carp on shore. Nice to have a tucson clean sweep for a tourny. Should be the case for the rest of the year I hope.

Got the boat all ready to roll. 4 days of straight fish slaying starting tomorrow night! Thursday night at sahuaro, and Friday Saturday Sunday at Pleasant for the Bill Luke Tournament. Hope to see everyone there!

I have a badlands Ox pack and think its great. Only complaint is dry weight is a little heavy but if your looking for A pack you can carry extreme loads with and need plenty of space for gear on the spike camp hunts you can't go wrong. I've personally carried out loads over 160lbs and had no issues just take my time and march it out. My pack for my regular hunts loaded is usually between 45 and 50lbs. And then throw the rifle or bow And a whole field dressed whitetail on and you got a serious load and its not a bit of an issue. I've also carried out a whole Muley buck (small buck) but the deer weighed 135 field dressed. Granted it was only about a mile hike but I don't have a bad thing to say about the Ox. The outdoorsmans pack is one bad pack as well. Can't go wrong with either.

Nice! Just look for the carp rigs. Most is us will be camped together.

Leaving Thursday night for sahuaro night shoot. Friday pre fish at pleasant. Saturday/Sunday tournament. Can't wait for a 4 day fish slaying, beer drinkin, and hanging with good friends trip!!!

I typically under judge animals... I guess when I get them on the ground it sometimes works out to be a delightful surprise when I run a tape on them.

Congrats man that's awesome!!! I've been fortunate to shoot a bunch of those bushy tailed turds! Its an accomplishment to get one. I'm just waiting to get one with my bow for a mount. I might be setting my goals a little high but I want to get an arrow in a kit fox for a lifesize! Happy hunting and keep at it!!!

Vowell no not in the spring. I hunt the pair fruits In August/september on the over the counter bear hunts. I finally drew a spring hunt this year and plan on focusing mainly on calling but if it becomes repeatedly unsuccessful I might to resort to hunting over springs and water sources as the summer heat increases

Find prickley pair with ripe fruit and you will find bears( at least in the southern units) If you can find good pair fields near a water source you can almost be sure you'll find bears. I personally glass them. Then call them in. I called one in last year with my foxpro from over 1000 yards and shot the bear and lost him. Made me sick and spent a week looking. But one thing I know is the OTC tags are simply amazing if you can find the right spot. I was one of the 20 lucky few to pull a 34A spring bear tag for 2013. It will be a new experience for me since I've only ever hunted over the counter bear hunts but I look forward to finding lots of bears and hopefully a successful hunt...

The OTC tags are great I had 10 bears in 6 days last year in 2012 its a fun hunt just hot and miserable as far as weather goes...

Camofreak Chances are it will be fairly deep shooting but it shouldn't be a problem to boat fish. Look at the thread BowfishAZ posted today (Bowfishing in the cold) look at the fish we shot last night and it was freezing out. It was so cold the water was steaming...
